A&M, Georgia, and Alabama are clearly playing a different game than everyone else.

SEC recruiting rankings for 2022:

This image makes it crystal clear that A&M, Alabama, and Georgia are clearly playing a different game than the rest of the SEC (and the country). Alabama and Georgia have been recruiting like this for years - now A&M has joined the fray.

And it's not just quality - both A&M and Georgia somehow have 26 commitments. And yet we're told that A&M is getting Harris and is in the hunt for Perkins as well?

28 commitments? How the hell does that work? Alabama has been doing this for years, I guess A&M has now figured it out as well?

Over 40 of the top 100 players in the country are about to wind up at either A&M, Georgia, or Alabama - and Georgia and A&M already have over 25 commitments, yet are somehow in play for even more.

My one hope for Kelly and LSU going forward is to wake up and get on the level of these others teams in terms of stretching the rules and maximizing every single loophoole in existence. It needs to be an all out departmental effort to reform and vastly improve LSU's entire recruiting infrastructure.

The one thing we can lean on is that CBK said that the entire university here is locked in and ready, and we saw that from Tate on down (which surprised me as much as the next guy).

They’re gonna get this shite figured out. Not to rag on Ed more than he has been already, but he was way out of his depth with NIL and it’s showing right now.

If we had 26 commits we would be around that currently. We have 13.. 13.. Give it a little time

The biggest takeaway from that is NIL is a game changer for sure and we need to adapt

Give Brian Kelly a year, this is all new to him. Let him and his wife get their feet embedded in their jobs and community and things will turn around.

They also had zero turnover at head coach. It’s tough for these coaches to come in and have to get a class 2 weeks after they get the job.

We don't have as much money as some of these other schools. I'm not sure we have top 10 money in college football.

I get your point, but we wouldn’t. LSU avg rating is 90.7, they’re all around or above 94

You do realize NIL deals don’t come from the schools right?

Oversigning and paying players. You think anyone wants to go to Tuscaloosa or College Station?
Business decisions, nothing more.

We just signed a $100m contract with a head coach. Tell me 10 other coaches making $10m a year.

I'll wait.

… do we have a top 10 NIL base in the country, then?

They're still going to pay market rates and the transfer portal gives them an out even if they get paid. I pity the folks who would give some high school kid $100k without any idea if they'll do anything to play up to up to that value for your school.

It's all going to even itself out.

LSU’s classes have looked like that the last few years. They should be back there next year.

This is stupid. A&M has out recruited us once in the last 4-5 years. This is not a trend. It’s a one off, heck we out recruited Georgia and A&M last year lol
