Wasn't Laviolette committed to LSU at one point?

He was committed to Mainieri and Cain. When Paul retired he followed Cain to aTm.

Laviolette

Talked to his dad at Alex Box this season and he said his son absolutely would have come to LSU but Jay Johnson "didn't recruit him". Take that for what it's worth. That's what he said to me Verbatim at the beer kiosk by the LF playground.

Edit: It was Jay who didn't recruit him.I fixed

Kent, grahovac and montgomery (pending draft) all guaranteed to Texas. LAV IS A POSSIBILITY but may go somewhere else

So some random guy told you he was Laviolette’s dad and you just believed him?

I would think that's the point, the only person who recruited him on staff left so he followed.

Hate to see Texas get loaded, but no tears from me to see TAMU get decimated.

by random you mean a 6'4 big arse dude in his 40s at the A&M series wearing a Laviolette A&M jersey who said "yea I'm his dad" when I asked him.

And he laughed when I asked if his son could keep striking out however unlikely that might be.

He then confirmed Laviolette is a coonass name from down the bayou. And that his son wanted to play at LSU.

This is the rant, if you tell them something that they don't want to believe, then it's impossible for it to be true.

If you tell them something they do want to believe, you can take that shite to the bank though.

The person who questioned you sits at the lead rantard table.

There is no advantage for LSU Baseball in this deal. Texas will just take the Aggies best players and coaching staff and build a powerhouse in Austin.

Bring him home.

Chase Shores follows him on Insta. Somebody tell Shores to reach out to him.

Why? Their coach took another job when he was supposed to be coaching them.

They're so committed to A&M they left 24 hrs after he did.

Loyalty? College sports is now a business and you transfer to make the most NIL you can.

Maybe.

But this is a little different situation. The coaching staff essentially hid for weeks the fact they were leaving for Texas...all while the team was literally playing for a national championship. I think the players may have a bit more trust issues with the staff than in a normal situation.

Yes, money often talks. But it's not like the LSU's, Tennessee's, Arkansas's, of the world wouldn't be willing to make some strong offers.

Well Jace was committed to LSU at one time I think around when PM retired so there might be a chance there.
