The opposing team is literally laughing along with it. They’re encouraged to have fun with it and trash talk a little it’s a part of the competition. They’re young kids having fun and it’s part of the culture of 7 on 7 football. This is a sanctuary for a lot of kids that may not have a ton to look forward to outside of the football field. Let’s kids be kids.

I don't think the coaches would disagree with you

Yeah, just leave it to the high school coaches to fix all of the awful habits they get from this ridiculous stuff.

Jimmy being Jimmy. And the more I read or watch what Ryan Clark says the more I realize he’s kinda a jerk. The most recent example was him posting on twitter that he hopes Brennan doesn’t mess up #7 for Chase.

I was there. This play was not even a part of the main exhibition game. It was a part when each team got one drive but couldn’t throw the ball under 20 yards as requested by Battle so they could get some good video clips. It literally was two teams with national talent having a good time. Immortals did some things that weren’t on the video so it was a back and forth banter just like every guy on this board does. They can’t do this in the real games. It is a penalty. People in this board talk a lot of crap about things they know nothing about.

More tweets and a video that should be struck down by the almighty and never seen again. It wrongly shows the Miami players dancing and having a good time with the Bootleggers. TOTAL BLASPHEMY!!!!

I am a high school coach in Louisiana and I am not disgusted to see kids having fun and be involved in competitive activities. I support the Bootleggers 7 on 7. I’m pretty sure that my program is not seen as disobedient nor disrespectful. By the way I was there that night.

Twitter Video - Murder, Mayhem, No Insurance, Total Chaos and Mass Hysteria - CRANK UP THE SPEAKERS!!!

** The video even shows a Miami player dancing with BL's voodoo medicine man. It was horrible and EVERYONE that survived was arrested!!!!!

COACH K. PETERS
Don't speak on anything you don't know about. The Battle Company put on an exhibition game for these two Elite teams. All the adjectives you used were uncalled for. Kids had fun, balled and it was major D1 talent all on one field. Mind the business that PAYS YOU!!!

As anybody else in the world.

“Attacks” is a stretch. That’s simply a HS head coach calling it like it is.

Yeah, if you agree with the old-school, seemingly eighty year old coach who live in the 60's still. Then sure it is just someone you agree with telling it EXACTLY like it is.

Jimmy makes his living off of HS kids, so it makes sense he doesn’t see any issue with their behavior.

Jimmy put a lot of time, effort and his own money into the Bootleggers. As far as I know he originated the program. I don't blame him for taking offense to some idiot who should mind his own damn business.

Your typical response from guys like Jimmy saying how it's all about the kids is also complete crap. It's a chance for guys like him to be relevant. That's all.

Jimmy runs/owns the LSU site on Rivals. He doesn't need the Bootleggers for him to be relevant. This is so freaking stupid to say.

where’s your state championship ring? I don’t care if they were playing along or if it’s part of the culture of 7 on 7, this video looked bad and very unsportsmanlike. If the players can be identified, they should miss the first game this fall

So Jimmy is the Godfather of 7x7 competition, and he financed The Bootleggers. WOW, learn something new everyday

OMG, this is sarcasm right? You are serious?????

Jimmy Details created the billion dollar recruiting industry that exists today!!!!!!

All the great coaches and most famous celebrities used the highly lucrative and career-building 7on7 leagues to further their success and stardom. Bill Belichick, Nick Saban, Tom Hanks. It is definitely the way to get ahead in life.

Because the poster agreed with the old "Fuddy-Dud" coach that believes EVERY coach on the sideline should wear a hounds tooth jacket and fedora and that the players should go to prayer class before and after every game.

That’s all fine and good ( and FTR I believe what you said is true) but there are other issues in play here, and that’s what I addressed. 1- his ACTUAL coach took exception as do many other HS football coaches. He obviously has his own reasons for not liking what he is seeing. 2-if you feel like his HS football coach and others are wrong, do you really think the constructive response is to infer publicly that Said coaches are racist? I mean , besides being a contemptible Race-baiter, don’t you think it would be easier to make a constructive post like yours explaining how 7/7 culture is different than actual football culture? And lastly- what if the coaches are correct, what if they have observed a negative carry-over from 7/7 to HS? Is that not also valid ?

Calling out people by inferring they are racist who have devoted their lives overwhelmingly to the development of black athletes sounds pretty simple minded and destructive to me. I mean, have you ever done anything like that? Do you know anybody besides Jimmy who has ? I mean it’s basically the end of anything constructive as soon as you hit the send button.
