This is a missing ingredient. Need to go full court press on this guy.

Going to be loads of talent in there.

He led the Big Ten in defensive rebounding percentage, ranked third in effective field goal percentage and fourth in offensive rebounding percentage. Johnson averaged 8.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 1.1 steals in 24.5 minutes per game.
Love these stats

Almost 9 boards average on 24 minutes a game is pretty filthy..........big 10 all defense? That guy is a starter day 1 as our rim protector.

My god, this guy is perfect.

27 of 62 at the foul line.
Yikes.
Ain't much pick and pop to this kid's game.
The defense is great and all, but the Mitchell kid from UMass is a whole lot better as a replacement for Days. Mitchell shot 37 percent from three (15 of 40 in 13 games, up from 33 percent on 112 attempts as a freshman). He's a real threat off the pick and pop.
The Johnson kid is basically a Josh LeBlanc with four extra inches.
I'm not saying no, but I don't know if he's the first post I want in the portal.

Josh leblanc does not have the basketball iq this kid does.
I think everyone would rather the player from umass but you take what you can get.
At least the rebounding and defense will be taken care of.

There's a kid from Cincinnati named Tari Eason who goes 6-8 or 6-9. He was a freshman this year and he averaged like 7 and 6 with a block and a half a game. And he has a pretty decent jumper.
I'd include him on the list. He might be a nice find.
And there's the Brakefield kid from Duke. He's from Jackson. He was a benchwarmer for them this year for the most part, but I remember he was pretty highly thought of out of high school last year.

I hope the coaching staff will pursue Johnson.

Sounds like johnson from rutgers wants to go back home to California.
He is going to graduate school for engineering.

Hopefully he is running away from his crazy teammates and not bringing the crazy with him.

Does he only have 1 year of eligibility? How does LSU's engineering school compare? If he misses California and wants to get a graduate degree in engineering he may just end up at Stanford or some place like that.
