6’5 242 Edge from Tampa, FL is ranked as the No. 3 Player in the ‘23 Class (No. 1 Edge)

Anybody have any insight on him? Was LSU in on his recruitment at all?

No. He will be playing for Nick Saban this time next year.

Idk but seeing Notre Dame fans cope with this is fun

People have been saying for a while now that they were going to lose two of their top commits, one of them was this guy..... Neither to us. I think one to Bama and one to OU but I could be wrong

He did decommit after visiting Bama so probably going there,

Hopefully he had his eyes set on ND from Brian Kelly though and is willing to flip to the good guys!

Alabama. But I'm going to lulz when ND also loses Peyton Bowen as expected and ND ends up behind us in the class rankings.

Looks like he decommitted soley for the reason to flip to Gumps... probably will "open it up" for a weekend only.

Bowen is next, can't wait to finish ahead of them in the final rankings.

Can someone explain this to me like I'm 5:

ND and Texas have the same number of commits on 247, ND's average recruit rank is higher, but Texas is #2 and ND is #3..

Hope that 5 year old you understands complex algorithms… LINK /
Probably has to do with Texas having more 5* players (3-1) and getting more points for the top end prospects. Also, Texas has 5 recruits committed that are in the top 50 and ND only has 2.

Hopefully, we can pull off a flip of flips and relieve them of one of those 5* players.

Sorry, I don't really try to understand this. Definitely not for a 5 yr. old.
The formula they use is somewhat complex. Even though ND'S Composite avg is higher, I take it as: if a Texas 5* is 99.5 & ND's 5* is 98.5 Texas is awarded more points than simply the 1.0 higher face value than ND when it comes to calculating overall Team score. This can cause Texas' team score to be higher, even though their Composite is lower. Avg. Composites influence Team Scores, but they are 2 separate entities. Here it is:

Team Ranking Explanation
where c is a specific team's total number of commits and Rn is the 247Sports Composite Rating of the nth-best commit times 100.
Explanation
In order to create the most comprehensive Team Recruiting Ranking without any notion of bias, 247Sports Team Recruiting Ranking is solely based on the 247Sports Composite Rating.
Each recruit is weighted in the rankings according to a GAUSSIAN DISTRIBUTION FORMULA (a bell curve), where a team's best recruit is worth the most points. You can think of a team's point score as being the sum of ratings of all the team's commits where the best recruit is worth 100% of his rating value, the second best recruit is worth nearly 100% of his rating value, down to the last recruit who is worth a small fraction of his rating value. This formula ensures that all commits contribute at least some value to the team's score without heavily rewarding teams that have several more commitments than others.
Readers familiar with the Gaussian distribution formula will note that we use a varying value for s based on the standard deviation for the total number of commits between schools for the given sport. This STANDARD DEVIATION creates a bell curve with an inflection point near the average number of players recruited per team.
Below is a graphical representation of how our formula works. You can see that the area under the curve gets smaller both as the rating for a commit decreases and as the number of total commits for a school increases. The y-axis in this graph represents the percentage weight of the score that gets applied to an overall team.

The way I see it, Bama is going to get elite players either way. If it’s not Keeley, it would be someone else. This makes me laugh for the simple fact that maybe all these retard ND fans will pipe down about how much better off they are without BK. When Bowen decommits and they get blown out week 1, they’ll all be quiet as church mice.

You're serious, right? Someone actually graphed this and reduced it to a formula? smh...

It would not exist if it had not been “reduced to a formula”. What you are saying is that you can’t believe a formula has been reduced to a formula.

Lots of smoke for OU and A&M. His high school quarterback is committed to OU.
