I could care less what he does at this stage, but I will never understand de-committing.

If you are a 5 star, there isn't a single program out there that will stop recruiting you while you are committed. You'll still get letters, visits, trips, etc.

So I think the big issue when this happens is why de-commit unless you are unhappy with LSU?

These kids are somehow brainwashed to think they can't be committed to a school and get the free trips...it's just not true.

So the question begs to be asked, why? Pissed, handlers, family, money, etc?

You do it to be fair with LSU and/or to let teams know that you are open to places other than LSU after realizing that you acted too early and want to consider all options.

You can complain about the ones who are "still committed" but "will make their final decision later". But still, the staff would necessarily just treat those guys as uncommitted. So, LSU wouldn't really be harmed in that scenario.

It's the players who lie and mislead that you have a real case against.

There is not a single thing wrong with a kid de-committing this far in advance of his signing day. Those who are complaining are simply disappointed in the fact that the kid is no longer a commitment. They attack the kid because that is how they deal with their disappointment.

I don't know what this thread is going on still for but I just wanted to add Hammond is a shithole. I know a girl who works at North Oaks over there and she told me at least 45% of that student body at SLU has STDs...

SLU has some fine hos but hearing that made me think twice. Apparently Peyton Manning likes hitting on a lot of them too.

I don't put much stock in to commits unless they're legacies. I just like watching all the film and getting an idea of what these kids can do on the field.

He's a soph in high school for about another month or so. Hard to expect 16 year olds to remain solid with any choice they make. We were all there ourselves at one time.

LSU still has as good of a shot at him as any other school that is going after him.

Because he wants to play at Bama, or that is what he was telling people at STA this week.

Dunno what is the point of following recruiting until decision day.... I mean these kids will commit and recommit so often it isn't even worth it....

Even a kid who has been committed to LSU for the entire process can flip and vice versa....

I first thought of a guy a little closer to home who was previously referred to as "the bag man"

OK, I might as wel break this stiry since it is going to come out anyway. He decommitted when a bagman from bama offered his parents $120,000 to spurn the Tigers and commit to Bama later in the process. But they don't know that he is all about the LSU and he hates Bama like all good boys should. His family went to Les and showed him the money and Les worked out that they are going to burn Bama and brak the story with the family testifying against them. BTW, they are keeping most of the cash and only mentioning around 40 grand or so to the NCAA so that they can all have big spinner rims on their cars.

Oh yeah baby, Bama's going down and Saban will retire before it gets too hot in the kitchen.

Word is that Nick is taking the statue of himself off of the Bama campus in order to make an unknown amount of copies because Saban likes Nickie statues.

Of coarse Bama will be promoting Lane "I'm a little Bitch Boy" Kiffen to be the HC since he is the only little bitch boy that would coach there during an entire decade of only being allowed walk ons and white boys on defense.

The word is that Au is going to play LSU as their rival and it will be called the "Iron Tiger Bowl" since Bama will only be allowed to play UAB, UL Monroe over and over just to piss off the REC.

The SEC office will be located in Las Vegas because those crooked bastards fit in perfectly over there.

ah what the heck, you get the picture..
