The real question is when the frick will you stop posting on these boards?
Your self satisfied disapproval for anything even remotely spinnable into something that shows LSU in a less than favorable light is classless and flat out tired as shite.

That’s true. However Louisiana is down and the best players (Difference Makers) in state are going elsewhere outside of maybe Sampson. We are going to have to sling some serious cash to get a top 10 class

Recruiting in football is dead. Highest bidder is all it is now. I’ll be surprised if we finish top 10 unless we step up our game

LSU is about to be turned loose to compete in the NIL world. Just John Bel Edward's signature and we're in the game.

ND dumping that $$$ like TAMU now.

Only Texas, Texas A&M and Stanford have larger academic endowments among P-5 schools. Notre Dame will have no problem getting wealthy alums to divert donations to an NIL collective.

So, how much endowment money do you see being spent on NIL?
I was unaware that endowment funds could be used that way...

You can't "spend (academic) endowment money" on NIL. I simply said that alumni may prefer to divert donations to a NIL instead of academics or a booster club now that it is an option.

Unlike most high school athletes, this guy is interested academically as well. Heard he was interested in getting a STEM degree at his school of choice, so no surprise to see ND at the top.

He seems to be unique, so hopefully the good guys land him.

So.. a coach who wins a national championship? Terrible comparison

Really, Larry kocker, won a Natty, Jimbo won a Natty, gene chizik, and O all won nattys, you think ND would be happy with any of their overall history?

Exactly, people talked so much shite about H. Perkins last year and he ended up signing with LSU anyway, so save the crap about LSU not being able to compete.

I’ve seen interviews with many of these kids and relationships, the school tradition, the scheme, the depth chart, the coaches, and the location still is a huge factor in 90% of these kids decisions. Why do our fans act like such babies when it comes to recruiting. It’s always something that gives our fans this inferior complex, every season.

This is still LSU, a power house program with hundreds of millions of dollars at their disposal. We’ll be perfectly fine. There will be some type of cap put on this NIL stuff because if there isn’t, it will definitely get crazy with some schools. Money doesn’t make people happy. You can have all the money in the world but if you don’t like your coaches, the environment, the players, the scheme, the location then you won’t have the motivation to make it to the next level.

Money doesn’t give you that and there’s no school who can pay that type of money to these kids so that will remain the ultimate recruiting pitch and LSU has a superior track record with developing NFL talent. Plus it’s not like we won’t be able to offer them something competitive to help their decision to play here, if that’s truly where they want to be. Win games, develop NFL draft picks and we’ll be fine.

"If a recruit is basing his decision on his NIL deal, Notre Dame is not the place for him." (Or words to that effect.) Marcus Freeman.
