WTH he says all of that and says this is not a decommittment. These kids today.

The key word here is kids.

They don't understand that a commitment is a two way street...they think of it as reserving a spot. I doubt he's thinking about the fact that he could lose his spot.

A kid like this is at real risk because, let's say LSU were to land Akers. A guy like Etienne could literally come in and take the spot with him never getting another opportunity to recommit.

I like CEH. His shifyness seems to be elite and I love RBs with a low center of gravity, even if they are a bit undersized.

LSU needs RBs. It can't afford to wait on CEH if there are other options available.

Let me tell you what I think about this.
Better yet, let me not tell you what I think about this.

What's the old saying? "Move your feet, lose your seat". Offer Travis Etienne today and don't look back.

I guess you were saying this when Narcisse and Brennan looked around.

That stuff about fitting into an offense is b.s

Canada called this kid and assured him he fits perfect and his size will not be a factor. Those passes out the backfield and sweeps utilize him perfectly. He wants attention and apparently is scared of competition. I wish the best for him. Hopefully he sucks it up and remains committed.

If we had another equally talented QB on our board who was waiting on a LSU offer at the time, then sure.

Who posted that stuff about keeping the fence up yesterday like we got another commit but didn't elaborate.

I think we got a silent commitment from Etienne and he's going to make it official during his visit in January. Makes sense now because they are the same type of running back

Not really. We didn't have an OC at the time. They had some doubts. I didn't like it but the uncertainty to them was understandable.
In this case he is just wanting more attention with all the talk of Akers...IMO.
I would pull the offer in a second.

i bet you dont think Derrius Guice was afraid of competition. He did the same thing during his recruitment. For adults to be so caught up in a recruits life to talk shite about him is pathetic. It's his life. His future. shut the frick up

I'm not sure they are the same type. CEH seems much more shifty and tougher to bring down. While small, he seems very comfortable running between the tackles and consistently makes people miss in small spaces.

Etienne seems to be much faster and more explosive.

True, guess I meant both would be used in the same way in this offense.

It's absolutely a decommittment whether he realizes it or not. LSU can't afford to sit and wait around.

These type of kids bother me. There's a lot of targets all over the board. You commit and the coaches thank you, welcome you aboard, and to make sure the rest of the class is filled out. I would think they would want the coaches the make sure they bring in a championship class and not focus on wiping their arse every time they take a shite!!

So Brennan wasn't wanting more attention with talks of Tua? I'm fine with him looking around. If he can't handle the competition, we can easily find someone who will thrive off of it. I'm not going to lose sleep because an 18 year old can't make his mind up.

He wants to feel like a "priority" at a school? Doesn't he realize that this is a very busy time of year? Did Coach O not send him a Christmas card or something?
