This is meaningless horseshite and if you actually followed recruiting, you would know that.

Our lack of a comprehensive NIL strategy is the fault of O and Woody, not a staff that’s been here for two fricking weeks.

When you cut coaches loose, especially position coaches, you are 100% guaranteed to lose a few commits who were close to them. That’s just how it is. Do you really think Kelly should have kept anyone he let walk just for a few commits in year one? A new head coach, especially one who has a solid track record, deserves a shot to build their own staff the way they want it. That’s what’s happening right now.

The coaching positions left open also aren’t the major reason for guys decommitting or making other choices. Recruiting is about relationships. Unless a new hire had a relationship with a guy we were already recruiting for ESD, none would make a damn bit of difference for tomorrow. The new OC, DC and staff will have an opportunity to impact LSD in Feb, but all of you complaining about this in regards to ESD are just chasing your tails.

Falling from 15 to where we are has nothing to do with anyone “not playing dirty,” whatever the frick that even means post-NIL. It is just and expected part of a down to the studs rebuild of a coaching staff. Texas overhauled their staff last year and was able to get up to 15 by the end. We will have the opportunity to do the same with a good run to LSD.

Until then, calm down and at least melt about something legitimate.

People can sugar coat it. If we finish 20 or higher. We will be in some trouble. Kids transferring off of our team isn’t over with either..

Well we have 10 commits.

So we just signing bodies will help that.

We have 2 5 stars. They’re both at critical positions.

To demonstrate how fast we can rise up the rankings, Landon Ibieta’s commitment moves LSU from 38 to 31 on 247. He is a middling 3 star and jumped us 7 spots.

Just numbers will move us up. The numbers won’t be enough just yet but it’ll start the process. The only way we stay out of the top 25 is by hardly signing anybody.

I’m telling y’all. Go do the class calculator. We would have to miss on almost everybody and not sign any backup options to finish outside the top 20. 15 is the floor IMO. Every team in front of us has at least 6 more commits than us at the moment

Hell yes and the best players will go towards the money and stronger SEC teams.

Can LSU compete with the money of Texas, Texas Aggies and Alabama ?

Also that’s including JaDarian Rhym flipping to Auburn. We lost a high end 4 star and added a low level 3 star & we jumped 7 spots. The sky really is falling!

Ibieta moved us to 31 FYI

Once we land Wiggins Allen and wesolak that’ll push us up a bit

As long as we sign a full class and can land Matthew’s with the others and possibly Perkins, we’ll have a damn good class for the situation we’re in

Miles signed 12 or 15 his first year in 2006 I think. LSU won a National Championship in 2008.

Saban left LSU a flush roster with tons of talent and almost no one worth a shite transferred.

Ed O is leaving LSU really thin at several positions and several major contributors are in the transfer portal. It's not really the same as all unless you can replace the talent from the transfer portal.

There's no JaMarcus Russell and Matt Flynn on this roster.

The LSU roster has a lot of holes to fill, but the offensive system to going to make a huge difference.

You are spot-on with this analysis. 2005 is an eternity ago where there was no chance Russell, Flynn, Dorsey, Jean-Francois, Tyson Jackson, etc, etc would be transferring to an SEC rival and playing against you 8 months later.

The keys to a recruiting class in 2022 are:
1. Can they contribute immediately?
2. If no, do they have the personal attachment to LSU to stick around and develop?

Lack of a big NIL program is legitimate, whoever's job that is. It doesn't exist.

It's really hard to tell. Remember, today is ESD, not actual signing day. The more players like Armella who decide to wait until Feb to sign, the better our chances to make a bigger move. All in all, I care less about the overall star rankings than the actual stars on the field. The class will be down, but if we can land cornerstone players like Howard, Campbell and Wiggins and do well with the portal, Kelly can turn things around pretty quickly.

This is completely and entirely baseless.

Based on player average at this time, LSU’s class is ranked tied for 8th according to 247 and as others have said, we have about a 6-12 player count disadvantage to those teams.
