Interesting tidbit here is that he’s not even a starter for Ruston High. He played special teams against Neville last week.

Pretty sure these websites have practically abandoned evaluated La talent. I canceled my 247 sub years ago when the regional scout said the only game he had seen in person since Covid was to watch Arch manning.

Here is a good list, this order will be quite fluid as these kids get into their JR seasons. There's about 15 of these kids with LSU offers and another 3-5 that could earn one. It's not the best year but certainly isnt the worst.
It's RB and WR-heavy in typical LA fashion.

So the #1 LB in the state for the class of 28 is also NOT the #1 LB on his own team?
So who are the better LBs on that team and what graduation class are they in?

I think it’s less about better LB and more about experienced LB. The two starting LBs started for Ruston last year. One of the two is another top 2028 LB in Aiden Adams. He has a ton of offers, including Penn State. The other starting LB, Kadyn Gray (2027), is more than capable to play the position. Both have a great understanding of the defense, while Evans is still learning. I would expect to see more of him as the season plays along. But, when you play Neville, Longview (TX), Karr, Catholic, and West Point (MS), it’s hard to find reps for players in close games.

He transferred into Ruston from a small school in MS earlier this year. Ruston is a great program, he may just have to by his time before he breaks into the lineup. He has offers from everyone. He's a 6'2" 210 16yr old who just played his first game of his Jr season.

It never did make sense. Your senior year of HS is one of the most crucial development years in your career. Missing that just to get overwhelmed by grown men doesn’t make sense. It’s incredibly rare for guys to reclassify and actually pan out.
