CJJ cleaned up with this class that signed over the last few days.
13 Top 100 players
#1 ranked class
Always the question of how many make it to campus.
But Lawd, Tigers cleaned up

David Hogg II
Keep that trouble-making dweeb away from LSU.
Oh wait, was thinking of the other David Hogg.
This guy's uncle is a Boss, though

But we will have 50 offseason threads about how bad Alex Box is and how we are falling behind. This goes to show there is no substitute for winning…
I am all for more creature comforts and tech in the facilities but the sky isnt falling

Why not both win and update the box? That sounds like a good plan to me.

I am most excited about Stunner Gonzales, the 6 ft 7 in pitcher from Carlsbad. All i know is that he has a big fastball that comes at you from a steep angle and that his name is “Stunner”.
What else do you need to know than that?

I have been saying this for a while, but programs like LSU are going to start laying off the developmental type players.
Let my clarify. Every player needs to develop, but there is no need to recruit players that will hopefully contribute their junior year. Simply let them play elsewhere and bring them over through the portal after they reach SEC potential.
We have reach an era of college baseball, for better or worse, where we can make a new team every year. Look at our team this year. Our starting rotation (possibly), SS and best offensive player are all from the portal.
So you bring in top talent HS players and top talent portal players and call it a day. Why bring in a low ranked recruit that might develop when you can grab one from the portal that has developed already?
Not every program is in position to do this. Not every program can cherry pick the portal like we can. This will just snowball with Jay. The more Omaha trips, the more exposure the easier it gets to cherry pick and it keeps snowballing.
The cherry on top is their no reason for Jay to leave for many years. I told you guys when we first hired Jay, that we were going to start a dynasty and I still firmly believe that.
Sit back and enjoy the ride, it's going to be fun.

I mean that ended pretty quickly once PM retired.
You went from makhil Hilliard & Trent Veitmeier(god bless ‘em) to Paul Skenes & thatcher Hurd in 1 year. Hyperbole but you get the point. PM was in the Stone Age thinking you could win with guys that throw 90mph.

The players don't care about how comfortable the seats are or what kind of food is served.
Same with basketball in the bitching about the PMAC.
The players do care about locker rooms and practice facilities, but from their perspectives, a field is a field.

I would do terrible, terrible things for Konnor griffin to make it to campus. This kid is like SPECIAL special.
He is, legitimately, what you'd get if you just designed a perfect baseball prospect in a laboratory. He has every single thing you could possibly want. If he were to actually hit--like, say a reasonable upside outcome, like 75th or 80th percentile outcome--we're not just talking about Dylan Crews, we're talking about Dylan Crews+. Like this is all-time-great type talent.

Bear Bryant used to do this. A buddy's grandfather was told to play a couple years at a small school and then Bear would bring him on to start his junior year at Alabama and he did just that. Made it to the NFL for a bit too.
But a lot of those kids Bear promised never had their name called, but he still succeeded in hiding them from his opponents.
