Only have a year and 2 months to find his replacement or get him to recommit. Real time crunch with this one.

I know at one point there was some talk of him playing football and baseball, is that still on the table for him?

Why even commit early

Some of these kids want to ensure themselves a shot at the next level. If I was 15-16 and someone said “hey you want to play ball for LSU and go to college for free”?

I would say yeah coach you can count on me.

Then it goes out on Twitter and everyone is pumped and all that and he is “committed “.

Social media and recruiting sites scrapping for and crumb of information is a huge reason all these situations look bad.

Well, at least he didn’t put in the obligatory “please respect my decision.” That’s something

Lol. You think Flott was a "left over"? He was a recruit we really wanted and fought tooth an nail leading up to signing day to keep him.

We are a year away, in a year where guys have had limited opportunities play and even fewer opportunities to be scouted.

There will be high level late pop up guys that can play CB.

That's not my point. I am aware we had to recruit Flott. The point I'm making is when you miss out on Rodgers level talent, you are left battling for Flott level talent.

It’s funny how people are so quick to shite on Flott because D Smith burned him in the Bama game but who hasn’t he made look foolish? One of the games before that Flott played his arse off and was possibly our defensive MVP that game I’m just drawing a blank which one it was. People shite on Jay Ward for the MS State game now they love him. I’m happy we have Flott.

You referring to the fact that they know he's decommited just to go through the full process? Or are you referring to the fact that they have bigger fish to fry?

Since I'm assuming you're just looking at recruiting rankings to gauge the talent of these guys, there are a lot of guys between Rogers (ranked 7th) and Flott (ranked 60).

And, since we're talking about rankings, why has Rogers ranking been dropping steadily over the past year?

2022 guys haven't even had spring and summer camps yet. It's way too early to be beholden to the rankings.
