When did Lee make the switch to LB?
Tbh,
He didn’t. But we are slightly low at lb and I’ve heard he’s better suited for defense. Also, while he’s j Stevens size, j Stevens is a remarkably sized safety hybrid.
It was just a hunch that he’s a linebacker. He may end up being a coverage lb due to him playing safety.

Not trying to be a dick but we won’t be missing much from all the seniors that leave next year.
Some were ok contributors while other are finally get their shot next year
Best ones left already

Baskerville and Clark are going to be pretty good.
A drop off from 2019? Yes. But it won’t be awful.

both these guys came in the 2017 class and neither seems to have red shirted. They were listed on the 2019 roster as juniors, so should be senior in 2020 on your depth chart I believe. Hopefully they did redshirt because that would help a lot in the 2021 season when all we will have at WR are Jarry Jenkins, Tracy Palmer, Devonta Lee, Koy Moore, Kayshon Boutte and whatever WR's we sign in the 2021 class. So only 5 WR's with any experience on the 2021 roster. If Devonta Lee moves to another position, that means we will have 4. Devonta Lee really needs to stay at WR unless Kirkland and McMath have redshirted somewhere along the way.
I keep seeing it posted that Lee is moving to defense but don't know where this is coming from other than posters on this board looking at his size, 6'1" 225, and thinking he doesn't fit the mold of a WR. Maybe he would be a good fit at LB but is that a move that has been reported somewhere?

You can add Avery Atkins and Preston Stafford to kickers!
Stafford from Catholic via Arkansas.

I know for a fact O said directly in a luncheon that Lee was moving to safety this spring. Now i guess if he is bad there, they could always move him back in the fall.

My biggest takeaway here is that no one is mentioning Brooks’ impact through the back end of the schedule as a pass rusher. He was an 18 year old last year who got to the QB often.
With a year under his belt and some time with Moffitt, I expect him to be a consistent presence in the backfield of our opponents coming off the edge.
We will have a solid foundation in Logan, Shelvin, Ika, & Farrell. If Thomas continues to improve, that gives us a nice rotation and we have room for maybe one or two more guys to provide depth and push the depth chart.
In the Secondary it’s an embarrassment of riches. Behind Stingly, you have Flott, Ward and the True Frosh. Much better depth and experience than we had headed into this year IMO. At S we have experience and talent. X-Factor is how does Harris bounce back from his knee injury in this years season opener?
Linebacker is a huge hole. We got some kids some experience, but we have to have some kids develop and step up.
On offense, the line returns a lot of kids with starting experience and I am totally sold on Cregg’s ability to coach them up. For Thomas, Wire and Rosenthal, their time is now. I see the OL like this:
LT-Rosenthal
LG-Ingram
C-Hines
RG-Thomas/Wire
RT-Deculus
4/5 of those spots are manned by kids who have SEC starts under their belt in the last two years.
RB-Who cares how it shakes out, we are deep, talented and have an off-season to develop these kids even more. Just stay healthy.
TE-Pettigrew/Gilbert; nuff said.
WR-Chase
WR-Marshall (Watch out as he will have a chip on his shoulder in ‘20; thinks he’s been overlooked)
WR-McMath
QB-Is the starter on campus yet?

We have 4 scholarship qbs on campus right now.

Are they scholarship players? If yes, then my math is wrong.

Offense is all about 2 things, LT and QB. The talent at the skill spots and interior OL are set.
LT essentially comes down to 1 of Rosenthall or Wire developing or us landing a college ready LT in the class. Could go either way. Cregg has to earn his money.
Qb is does Brennan finally get his chance to actually be what many, many Tiger fans have believed hed be? Id like to see him get that shot. If not, does Parrish develop quicker than expectes
LT is already set. Rosenthal played a ton this year, and he played well.
Parrish does not look like a major college QB to me. I’m just basing that on the warm up drills. Burrow doesn’t have elite arm strength, but his passes had way more zip than Parrish’s.

So what you’re saying is that an 18 year old’s arm strength isn’t comparable to a 23 year old Heisman Trophy winning, #1 pick in the NFL Draft’s arm strength. Based on your analysis of warm up drills before home games.
You then somehow conflate the latter with a, “major college QB,” in terms of arm strength.
Ken Dorsey & Danny Weurrfel say hello, Coach.
Way to write a kid off as an 18 year old.

Burrow does not have great arm strength. Max Johnson and Finley are high school seniors who have stronger arms than Burrow. They have much stronger arms than Parrish, who appears to have the weakest arm I’ve seen on a scholarship LSU QB in many years.
Note the word “appears”, and note the words “I’m JUST basing this on...” in my previous post. These are your hints that I am not writing off anyone. I am leaving room for doubt. Maybe Parrish was just goofing off. Maybe he had a slight injury that forced him to go easy. But if not, he does not have a major college arm.

Avery Atkins was put on scholarship in August. Hopefully Connor Culp moves on. We won’t need him again next year.

This won't matter. We're going to be way under the 85, so we won't need the space.

Not sure what you’re trying to say here. They will both be seniors next year.

He's a luxury. If he can cover at that size then it's looking good that he will fill in for J. Stevens in 2021. However if he gains 10 then hes a linebacker.
