I think he's basing it on the fact that every 2020 NFL draft big board has him going in the 1st round pick.

Kary Vincent is basically a safety in the role he’s in now.

I also see Hampton starting at safety next year.

I don’t see Cam Lewis S on your depth chart.

Also, I would expect these additional players to leave for the NFL:

RB Clyde
WR Jefferson
C Cushenberry
NT Shelvin

And I wouldn’t be shocked if DE Logan and one of ILB Queen or Phillips leave early also.

We might even lose TE Thad Moss and LT Charles.

Especially if we win on 1/13.

Next year’s team will have a completely new cast of characters.

Curious if you saw the moniker, “nfl” beside some of their names?

Added nfl for Shelvin. He could go

I really think that Shelvin queen and Phillips can sky rocket up draft boards by coming back.

The rotation at DL would be outstanding like this year of Shelvin comes back, i think he will be a 1st rounder next year if he does come back.

I would love Phillips and queen to both stay and would be happy with either or, but man I think queen will go from a 5th rounder maybe work his way into 3rd after pro day workouts this year to a mid to high 1st rounder with a full season next year. You can't teach speed, and he has it.

The next worry which is def priority #1. is the OL we lose traore, Lewis and magee who will all at minimum earn practice squad spots in the league next year hopefully roster spots. Those are our starting OG this year, then we have cush at C deculus at RT and Charles at LT we really really need to go 2 for three of these guys to come back and help out the Online next year. Cush coming back and deculus coming back could be freaking huge. Hopefully we can only lose our seniors but whole knows.. cush could play himself into a 2nd rounder, and deculus and Ingram I believe 100% could be 1st rounders with a good showing next year. I really think our next year goes how our JR go pro or stay.

Our OL could be so stacked for next season if all of those guys stay. I really doubt all of them do, but that isn't really based off of anything. Having 4 seniors up front would be incredible.

Charles
Thomas/Hines
Cush
Ingram
Deculus

With so much talent at the skill positions, 2020's offense would be unreal. We'll never be able to replace what Joe did this season, but Brennan would certainly put up massive numbers.

Even if Cush leaves. Hines can fill in while Charles turner has another season to eat gumbo with rice.

Please let me know who the special teams players on scholarship are.

Gotta say... I kind of forgot about Kardell. That's a nice surprise for my little oblivious world.

thoughts...

thought Moss was going pro & if Arik Gilbert is as good as advertised, he will start as a frosh.

hearing Justin Thomas is coming back. will be back on team in the fall.
Thomas will be in the 2-deep if not starting
i don't see Travez Moore starting. he only saw action in 2 games in 2019.

I think Clark and Baskerville end up being the two MLB with Starks / Lee running w/ the 2s behind them and 2 frosh runnings 3.

Mo Hampton will start at S and Harris will back him up.
Vincent locks down the Nickel spot
Ricks may end up the starting CB opposite Stingley.
the battle for starting CB will be fierce

Hot take: I think Pettigrew gets the most snaps as the hand-in-the dirt TE while Gilbert gets on the field somewhat more sparingly in the slot position

is there anyone in the transfer portal right now that could fill a hole?

what about JUCOs? (although LSU hasn't been overly successful with them)

Quincy Roche is an EDGE from Temple who’s in the Portal who LSU should be after he had 13 sacks and 19 TFL this year. Aside from him and a couple QB’s (King and Costello) nobody else really jumps out.
