Respect the NIL-------- College ball players are nothing more than mercenaries------- i think the only Duncanville player that went where he wanted to go was Durham!

Nike money is hard to beat
And what do the Nike shareholders who are not Oregon Duck fans have to say about this?

It’s pretty unsurprising when you think about it that Corner and WR are proving to be the hardest guys to get in this new era. Those are notoriously the biggest Divas on a team. The lineman know what it takes to get to the next level where the real generational wealth comes from.

Nike shareholders and the rest of CFB give 0 fricks about what Phil Knight does with his money. It is no secret Oregon gets special treatment from Nike, been that way for years. It’s just easier for him to chip in now

Is that 1.3 per year or over 4 years?

Who hasn't caught a pass against college competition yet

I’m sure LSU can compete. LSU has some rich fans. Edison chouest is worth 1 billion. Todd graves is with $7+ billion, and Jim Bernhardt . And that’s just a couple. LSU has some oil money also. Now I’m not sure if they are willing to donate that kinda money for football recruits.

I’m lost who’s Dan Henning coaching?

Like the old adage goes , Money ain't everything but it's way ahead of whatever's in second place .

Oregon's tax rates are heavily weighted towards Property Taxes. As long as he doesn't buy a home, he'll be fine. Oregon has no sales taxes. They do have high gas taxes that help pay for the "full service" only gasoline laws there. It's like they are back in the 60s on that front.

That number is a made up projection from a guy who thought DK was an 85% Texas “lock”. He now says 1.3 and we’re supposed roll with it?

Income tax baw. He’s in the 9.9% state income tax bracket for Oregon.

Because they pay LSU to wear Nike products.

I get 1.3 seems like a lot of money for a high school kid but aside from biggest bag upfront what does Oregon truly offer you longterm? If LSU or Texas was offering you say 7-800k to stay close to home, friends, and family
I doubt you have ever been offered 2 deals with upfront cash differences of 600k
Especially as an 18 year old kid

Interesting thought he was going to Texas
Posted on 7/6/24 at 1:17 pm to Finch
My guess ( strictly that) was close to 1 mil by Texas. Ducks went to 1.1 or 1.2.
Pure speculation, of course.
And, I’ll posit that Texas isn’t finished.
