He was dominant. Snap issues are fixable, most probably a mental thing, over thinking and changing something to compensate for the low snaps. He is a very good run blocker.

Apply this to Zalance Heard. Great player, enormous upside but doesn’t play a position of immediate need for LSU. LSU might choose to spend money on positions of immediate need instead of burning it on a really good backup. Heard could name his price at most any other competitive program.
This is how the portal should work. Optimize earnings and opportunities. LSU needs to fight like hell to keep Heard but also look to other rosters for guys who fit that mold.

mostly guys who weren't are weren't going to get playing time. some quality athletes in there. this is the price of success in today's college football world. they ain't sticking around.

I think this of players leaving the programs that are at or above the level we're at.
How much success are guys leaving Bama and Georgia having elsewhere? We have transfers on the roster from Bama, Georgia, and Ohio State. The ones from Ohio State can't stay healthy, the one from Bama can't field a punt or catch a pass, the one from Georgia is possibly the worst starting safety we've ever had.
Exclude QBs, because that position group is in its own world.
If guys are leaving a program that is in contention for the top team achievement every single year, there is some flaw that they have that will render them useless here.
We got a transfer from Clemson when they were a top program, he was garbage.
