These weather people are unreal, I've never heard them talk about wind 20 stories up, etc before. Since we're only dealing with 80 mph winds lets talk about the wind that doesn't matter at 2000 feet because it sounds scarier.

CURFEW NOW IN AFFECT.
-Baker Mayor Harold Rideau and Police Chief Mike Knaps have issued a declaration to the citizens of Baker that as of 8 p.m. today there will be a curfew from dusk to dawn until further notice.
-Zachary has created a dusk-to-dawn curfew starting Wednesday, August 29 at 6p.m., running through Thursday, August 30 at 6a.m
-LIVINGSTON - Parish officals called for a dusk-to-dawn curfew starting tonight in Livingston Parish. Parish President Layton Ricks syas the curfew will last until Hurricane Isaac passes and conditions improve.
-HOUMA Parish emergency managers PUT a curfew in affect now in Terrebonne Parish ahead of Hurricane Isaac's landfall. The curfew begins tonight from 8 p.m. and lasts until 6 a.m. Wednesday.
-PIERRE PART- A mandatory evacuation has been issued for all of Assumption Parish. officials say that area is expecting sustained winds of 50 - 70 mph with gusts at 85 mph. Tropical storm force winds are expected by 6 a.m. on Wednesday
IBERVILLE PARISH Sandbags available at the following locations:
-Both Fire Departments in Bayou Pigeon
-Both Fire Departments in Bayou Sorrel
- White Castle Fire Station at Hwy 404 / Richland Rd
- St. Gabriel Fire Station at 2075 Hwy 30
- Old Seymoreville School, on Barrow St near Alexander St
-Maringouin Town Hall
- Grosse Tete Town Hall
- Rosedale Town Hall
-White Castle Town Hall
- St. Gabriel Town Hall
-Dorseyville Park on Cpl Herman Brown, near Anderson Rd
As of Tuesday morning, 16,000 sandbags had been issued.
