What is a good small fireproof safe for documents?

Just want one that is really fireproof the whole things like passports, birth certificates, etc

AmSec makes the best commercialy available non custom stuff IMO.

smaller they had was wall safes. I just want a lockbox that is fireproof.

They have fireproof bags FYI if you don’t care about security.

" Fireproof" safes are ranked/rated by burn time. Cheaper= lower rated burn time. Point being it's not a pass/fail certification.
And harbor freight or not, many of them are Chinese.

Safes are something that are a real bitch to buy. Its so hard to figure out what is just a steel box with a fancy door vs what is a real piece of security equipment or in your case a real piece of fireproofing.
Whatever you get make sure its UL rated for the advertised rating. At least that way you know it was tested to something resembling a standard and not just arbitrary numbers.

I've had a Sentry Safe 3300 for about 15 years. It helps to have the file folder rails in there, so you can keep mortgage papers in one hanging folder, birth certs in another, etc. Using a "flat" safe, you just end up sorting through the entire pile of crap over and over again.
