We got a nice rain here in SWLA. The ground appreciates this after last week.

I foresee many more Bermuda lawn conversions with this dry, upper 90s pattern…

Just when I thought we’d make it though this summer, we get thrown these two weeks of high temps and low rain chances. One more week of this, and I’ll start getting PTSD.

there does not appear to be a good chance of rain in SELA for several more weeks. And the humidity will be coming back soon…

hot dry and humid is no way to go thru life, son

My water bill is a lot better this year.

Mine is just the opposite. I don't have a vegetable garden to water since I'm still recovering from ankle surgery and didn't put one in this spring. It's also rained a lot more so no watering the grass-------not that I did that a lot anyway and no additional people at the house taking showers, washing clothes, etc.

My most recent bill was $146 and change with no carry over balance. Sucks living in N.O. and can't wait to sell and move. Living in N.O. had long lost its intrigue to me and now I'm just in survival mode until the wife retires.

Sheesh, that's crazy....I watered a good bit in June and July, we had no measurable rain for six weeks. My most recent bill was $62.

It's been over two weeks since I cut my back yard and it's still wet.
My grass is getting crispy. May have to water soon but some rain expected today.

I’ve discovered something groundbreaking. Nothing helps the aesthetics of my lawn like a good thunderstorm.
Iron and fertilizer even when watered in aren’t as good as that ole rain.

I wish. Pool filler and keeping the lawn alive had me at $400+ last summer.

last summer beat my yard to hell, and then the freeze last winter finished it off.

trying to get it figured out.

Can't get a happy medium in Louisiana! I bitch about too much rain, now I gotta water the lawn to keep it from drying to a crisp. Please send a thunderstorm my way, Mother Nature. This ain't funny!!!
