Tile recommendations? Have you ever laid tile before? Also, you'll need to rip out the old unit, remove any drywall that is there, put in backer board, seal it up then lay tile.
Subway tile is cheap and always looks good. Though, it does take longer since the pieces are smaller.

It’s a fairly easy job if you want to attempt it.

That's not an easy job. Its doable, but definitely not easy and very time consuming.
I've looked into doing mine and may attempt it one day.
I dont think they make a prepoured floor for that.
So you have cut the old tub out. Cut into the floor to move the drain. Then pour a sloped floor around your drain. Then cover it with a (rubber?) tarp that is stapled up the walls. Then pour a sloped floor over that. Then install moisture resistant walls. Then seal them. Then tile it.
It's a pretty extensive project on something that you need daily.
Wouldnt blame anyone for paying to have that job done.
Eta, oh and you also have to build and cement over the small wall that you step over to get in the shower.

James Hebert with JRH Flooring 225 268 1328. Has done floors in two of my homes and my parents as well. Has also installed counter tops, backsplash and currently doing our master bath. He is taking out our shower insert and replacing with tile.

We kind of stumbled upon silver travertine after what felt like a million tile stores and a million tile samples.
It’s beautiful and timeless.
We do have accent tile that runs horizontal about 6 feet up. Maybe 6 inches high.
I recommend two shampoo recessed inserts for the master - the tall ones that can hold shampoo on the top and soap/razors/shorter things on the bottom shelf.
And the smaller tiled silver travertine looks great on the floor. For fanciness where the tile meets the ceiling they also make silver travertine molding.
