Robotic Pool Cleaners

What do you guys recommend? I’m in the market for one. I’m sick of this shitty Polaris. I spend half of my time trying to get the fricking thing I stuck and untangled.

I was looking at that one. What’s the difference between the CC and the CC Plus? You linked the Plus. My pool is only about 13,000 gallons.

I have the CC plus and my pool is around 25k gallons. It climbs the walls, and even is decent at cleaning the steps.
"The Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus is designed to be a slightly better pool cleaner than the CC. It is a little bigger, but it also has slightly bigger filters and a slightly longer attached power cord. It can handle a larger pool, as a result, and clean longer between maintenance downtime periods."

I didn't realize there were so many damn models of Dolphins.

I just purchased the CC+ a couple months ago. I am really happy with it but think I probably would have been fine with the standard Nautilus.
The CC+ does a great job picking up debris but I am not super impressed with it's scrubbing ability. I knew I was going to have to continue to manually brush the steps/ledges but was a little disappointed in how it scrubbed the water line.

I have a cheap suction-side Pentair kreepy krauly that's actually worked extremely well for my pool. But I have a rectangular fiberglass pool, and I also have a dedicated vacuum port. Know you asked specifically for robotic, but just sharing my experience.

I think I want something that actually scrubs. I have a suction Polaris with a booster pump like you described. The damn thing picks up leaves well but that's about it. Plus I spend half the time trying to get it unstuck.

I have this one as well. I’m happy with it and I as I recall I bought it based on recommendations from this board as well several hundred reviews of on-line buyers. Don’t recall seeing a single bad review.
I think it’s 3 years old and I just had to replace the rubber tracks and climbing rings - easy DYI - plenty YouTube videos on how to do it. Rubber tracks kept jumping the sprockets and when removed they were pretty worn as were the climbing rings. I assume that this is common wear and tear as this is my first robotic pool cleaner.

i tried the clickety clack thing and it gets stuck constantly so i have nothing in the pool and just clean it really well manually with a pole vac before we use it.
my pool has 2 returns at one end and a strainer at the other so no place to leave something permanent anyway.

Looks like the S200 is the best bang for the buck. Anyone have any experience with that one?

just watched the video for the Dolphin M600
that thing is fricking incredible! i love the features and how it climbs the wall and 'sticks to the side' while scrubbing and how it notifies you on your phone to 'pick me up' and it waits for you at the edge of the pool.
but $1700!?
say that S200 is looking pretty right about now.

Yeah, $1700 is not worth the added bells and whistles. The S200 is $699.

If your polaris is getting tangled
Your hose is too long

If it is getting stuck all the time your hoses are likely too long.

My Polaris gets stuck all the time as well but I have a free formed pool and my hose was measured for the furthest distance of the pool from the port the Polaris plugs in to. But for most of the coverage area, the hose is probably too long. Maybe I could try shortening the hose and just manually cleaning the area that the Polaris wouldn't reach.

I have the Dolphin Discovery, which is the equivalent to the S200. Through a lot of research, you will find that a specific model will be rebranded 2-3 times based on the store or provider. The model I linked is sold by Doheny, but it is a Dolphin product. The s300 does everything the 200 does except introduce bluetooth and phone control capabilities. That was not worth the xtra 100 or so dollars so I passed. The Discovery(s200)climbs my wall and will scrub the waterline moving sideways for about 15', and then climbs back down the wall and does its thing. Someone linked the TFP site, that is an excellent place to research. Expect a good robot to start at around $700 and it moves up from there quickly. I think I spent about $850 on the one I have

I bought the Dolphin Nautilus CC too. It cleans pretty well. From time to time it'll get stuck behind the ladder, but overall worth $800.

so can you share some of your research
i can't believe how tightly these companies control reviews and pricing details of their premium products online. i wonder how many different 'brands' of the S200 are out there..and if any variation is available to purchase online?
