I like the simple design of those stands. Nothing fancy, just getting the job done.

Question, are those holes on the sides of the buckets your only drain holes, or are there some at the bottom?

Just curious why you went with buckets and not a regular garden since it appears you have plenty of room.

Not hating just curious. I rate your bucket garden fantastic.

Looks great!

What's growing in that field in the background?

I know I plan on doing this next year because the ground on my land is just entirely too wet for consistent plant growth. Cucumbers and melons do well, but bell peppers and tomatoes and beans not so much.

Could do a raised garden but when we get those torrential downpours in the summer, the yard floods a bit, so it's just easier to plant them in buckets raised up.

There three additional holes on the bottoms. The wire trellis is for cucumbers. That's corn growing in the background. Sealed the lumber with Thompsons. Don't hate on the aftermarket wheels bruh. Going through a midlife crisis right now.

Looks like corn in the back, along with Pecan and Fig trees?

Looks great! Some coasters to be able to move it easily would be a cool addition.

That’s a great concept and looks like you did a fantastic job!

Years ago I did 4- 4x8 raised boxes of tomatoes, bell peppers, squash, zucchini, eggplant, and pole beans.

-First year went great with great weather. Harvest was successful on all accounts.
-Second year got these torrential down pours that split my tomatoes and end rot on the rest.

So third year, I put it all in 5gallon buckets so I could move under the porch during week long thunderstorms. Tomatoes didn’t burst but they didn’t grow either- neither did the cucs. Horrible harvest.

So this year I went back to the 4x8 beds and what ya know….rain, rain, rain.

I am thinking about going and getting one of those soccer canopy’s from Academy Sports and putting over the beds to keep some of the rain off them.

Not for your rainy season, but you might want to keep a rain gauge and get some numbers that would help you both know when to water. And set up a drip system, maybe on a timer for the summer days when moist soil can barely support the evapotranspiration of very leafy tomatoes.
