Interesting. Is it a big deal for me to tranfer my termite bond to Terminex from Bug N a Rug?

I will tell you that despite what people say here, go read the actual contract. If it does not expressly say the remedy to repairs while under contract is replacement and restoring to previous condition, it’s a bunch of crap.

Not saying they’re not out there but I’d highly doubt a local company has that written into their contract. Do not take their word for it.

they are all required to use a state supplied contract form with certain allowed modifications. You can easily search it online.

Because they use a starting boilerplate form what exactly are you trying to say? What they warranty and choose to remedy is their company policy.

Nothing on their website states about warranty repairs.

Go read case law on Orkin and how they won in court here in Louisiana because people thought they were covered.

Here is Terminix and their policies:

the guy stood in our sunroom and talked to my husband about politics.

That is not the Company's fault, the problem was with the inspector and partially your husband . Your husband should have stopped the conversation and told the inspector to get on with the inspection and they could continue after it was done to your satisfaction.
The guy that does our inspection is all business. Very little conversation about other things till he is done and that usually doesn't last beyond 10 minutes.

Where are you located?

If in NOLA area, we use Augie's. Local place. In fact, our five year treatment plan is up, and we have to get a whole new treatment this year. $500. In the other years, $140 gets us an annual checkup and outside spraying.

I buy most of my chems from the local co-op. I don't listen to that station and haven't heard the commercial. The only reason I suggested do my own is because they have a great amount of info on their website. My BIL owns a pest control biz and said he was fricked as soon as they made all the same shite they use available to the public.

Your rite the website for Hilbun kinda sucks, it’s a local outfit, kind of old school. But You had me curious, so I pulled my contract when I got home. Per said contract:

“Should an infestation of the wood destroying insects covered by this agreement occur in any portion of the building covered by this contract, the Company agreed to treat such infested portions within 30 days of such infestation at the customer’s request at no additional charge to the Customer”
