This junk pile piece of crap has stopped three different time in middle of the rinse cycle and the sense light starts blinking….. I unplug it for 10 minutes plug it back in and get my husband to shake it around and is starts working again. Anyone have the same problems ? What’s the fix ?

We had a problem with the lock on the lid. I had to replace it. Google is the place to look to figure out the problem codes.

New technology sucks balls.

Had two Maytag commercial washers and they were the best washers I ever bought.

I'm betting operator error. Husband is shaking the wrong thing....lol...I kid.

Is take it back.

Good chance that could be the problem, especially after shaking the washing machine temporarily fixes it. I know from experience after working for Lowe’s for a couple years after Katrina that if the appliance truck has to be unloaded and said appliances have to be put up by the night shift, the greatest care of the appliances isn’t really a concern of someone trying to leave at 7AM. Those BS safety locks don’t take much to knock out of place, and without a good connection the washing machine isn’t going to do anything.

I had a laugh last week when I checked into a hotel and the desk clerk was telling someone both their washing machines were down and later when I went to get ice they were SQs. Apparently, I witnessed an anomaly in the universe.

Yeah,

But she can get a service ticket started in it and have a record of issues.

How new is the question? 1 mo?

Id demand a new one if not fixed immediately.

Go to your locally owned appliance dealer and buy a basic Speed Queen.
Move POS Maytag out to the garage and hope you can get somebody to give you 100-150 bucks for it.
I learned my lesson 3+ years ago after my 1990's Maytag finally became unrepairable. Bought a POS Maytag (owned by Whirlpool for years now) at Lowes and it lasted less than 3 months before the transmission crapped out, took 2+ weeks to get a service tech out to look at it, part was backordered for 6 weeks, installed the new one and it didn't make it through calibration before it destroyed itself internally, then another month on backorder.
I went and bought my SQ as soon as the shitheads at Whirlpool customer service told me it was going to be 6 weeks till they could get a part and there was nothing else they could do. frick Whirlpool/Maytag!

Speed Queens most basic model comes with a 5 year warranty and will be locally serviced, not having to wait 2-3 weeks to even get someone out to look at it.

Back in the day Lowe’s would take any appliance back if it was under 30 days, without question. If you pay for the extended warranty it might be a little harder to deal with after 30 days because then it becomes a blame game between the manufacturer and Lowe’s. If you raise enough hell because you are truly in the right because of a Lemon appliance the store will probably make it right. That’s the way it was in 06,07, and 08.

We had constant problems until I replaced the lid lock latch. No problem since.

A cheap fix if you do it yourself but a pain in the butt to figure out how to do it. But there are videos on how to do it that make it easier to do. No way I could have figured it out myself without tearing something up.

There are codes on the machine display that tell what the problem is and videos that tell what they mean.

I miss the old days when we just threw our clothes in and washed them, never scared that the machine would eat us if we raised the lid while the machine was running….

2 weeks old. I just had it unplugged for about 20 minutes. Plugged it back in went to start working like normal and after a couple minutes stopped and started flashing the sense light again.

Lowe's gets the lowest quality from manufacturers. Buy a paint brush from lowes it will last you a week. Buy the same brush for $3 more at sherwin williams it will last you a year.

Lowe's will take it back if two weeks old. As a former appliance manager at Lowe's years ago, I can tell you honestly... Don't fix a machine 2 weeks old. Return it. It will never be good if you have issues after 2. Like Gizmo said, it could have been dropped or manhandled along the way. Go to the store if they delivered it and talk to manager. If you picked it up, go return it. If you liked it but wish it wouldnt be broken try the same unit and hope for not getting 2 duds.
