Anybody seeing any in South Louisiana yet?? I read that I should have my feeders out now.

None have shown up in central MS yet either. There are some migration maps that I usually check to know when to hang my feeders.

Haven't seen any in North AL yet, but the first Purple Martin showed up on the first day of March.

I put out my feeders last week (in SWLA) in hopes to find some early ones but haven't seen any yet.

I’m pretty sure I heard one yesterday morning. But didn’t get visual confirmation.

Just watch for mold this time of year. I only put up one feeder to start and only fill it half-full. They aren't here in large enough numbers or feeding heavily enough to run through it very quickly. It gets cloudy after only a day or two and mold forms not long after that. I just make a full batch and keep the extra in the fridge. I refill as soon as I see the cloudiness in the water.

I put mine out this morning. I had a ton of Hummingbirds last summer and fall. Sometimes 10-12 flying around at the same time.

I’ve had a single resident hanging around for a few weeks but that’s it. Must be a male because a newcomer showed up today and there was aerial wrasslin going on

I've had ZERO in EBR. Might need to relocate to a spot better hit by the sun?

Nice bump. We have two hanging around. Agreed that it has been pretty slow this spring.
