I have a normal sized fridge that needs to go up a lot of steps and my parents are seniors (its at their camp) so not easy to remove.

I was thinking of removing to doors, compressor, etc... and then taking a sawzall and cutting it into a few mid-size pieces. Has this been done? Did we discuss this here once?

Thanks and have a good holiday weekend.

I’ve cut one up with tannerite but that’s about as far as that goes.

Just pull the doors and drawers out to move em. Or hire out.

Rent one of these from Home Depot or Uhaul.
It has rollers on the back that glide down the stairs.
Tighten the strap and you're ready to go.

I'm confused. I originally read this as the fridge needs to UP stairs into its resting place. However, everyone responded with how to get it DOWN stairs and you mention removal.

This going UP stairs or DOWN stairs?

Just throw it off the deck and enjoy watching it crash. Be a kid.

Are you needing to reassemble this thing when you get up the steps?

Freezer tape might work better.

This question seems to be most pertinent to the answer.

Definitely throw it over the side. These opportunities do not grace us often.

True. If he's okay with just having a pile of refrigerator, he's on the right path.
