Last month I was in Woerner Turf and they had this fertilome in the office for $150. It looked pretty good. My certipede front yard is plaid thanks to my damn Scott’s POS

I'm using the Echo RB-60 after my Scotts refund. It's just fine but know there is better.

I have the echo rb60. It's alright. I really need to add the zip tie modification to help clear that last little bit out of the spreader, otherwise I feel like I'm jostling the damn thing to get everything out.

I have an Andersons 2000. It’s $1200. No, I didn’t buy it. Any of their options would be solid.

I have this same spreader, what’s this “zip tie modification” you speak of?
My biggest complaint about it is after about 8K sqft my forearm is toast from holding the lever open.

I may grab an earthway.

If I put down the recommended amount of Lesco NOS Plus slow release 24-2-11 3 weeks ago and ended up with stripes, when is it safe to reapply?

If your grass type is St Aug you can reapply in 1-2 weeks. Go perpendicular to the stripes. If it is centipede trying correcting the problem with an iron product.

I have Scott's edgeguard with same issue, so I adjust the distribution to half of what it says on the bag, and go over it twice, perpendicular the second time. Can't really notice the stripes after that.

Basically something similar to the below. Helps get the last little bit moving into the opening given the agitator is a little too high.

I had the same problem with a Scott's edge guard.

I bought a Sta-Green from Lowes and have not had any problems.

Stripes here as well.

Any thoughts on just going handheld? Spreader recommendation? Yard is about 3000 sq feet and most of that is back yard. Lots of small areas that I could easily get away with the handheld. Biggest continuous spot is about 1500 sqft.

Wish I would have read this thread before throwing some fertilizer out on my yard.

Those that got a refund, did you go direct to Scotts or where it was purchased?

PS how the heck does Scotts put something out so poorly designed? Did they not do any testing?

No issues since getting the Sta Green that is roughly the same price as that shitty Scotts that barely even spreads and leaves stripes

Not replying directly to you just wanted to add another post.

So I always like to apply 16-0-8 to centipede lawns but I've never seen it available residentially. I was looking at The Anderson's website today and they have it. Theres also comes with Humic acid which is great for the soil.

I used that (Anderson's) last year on my centipede and was pleased. I should have used it again this year but was trying to cut cost a little
