I currently live in a subdivision where my house is backed up by a pond. Being in South LA, the bugs are obviously bad, but I think the spiders are worse.

Due to all the spider webs, I decided to pressure wash. Do any of y’all have any good tips on how to remove the webs off the vinyl? I felt like I pressure washed for a long time and didn’t get anything accomplished because they will not come off

Also, any good tips once they’re removed on how to prevent new ones from coming back? Thank you!

Suspend SC has worked for my overall bug spray - spider sightings are extremely rare.

I recently sprayed and washed my vinyl and gutters. Before I did, I used a blue bristled soft brush on an extension pole to brush them off. Worked great. I was worried about wetting the webs and bugs and never getting them off.

Buy you some Miss Muffets Revenge. It kills spiders and lasts a whole year.

Jomax, will dissolve the webs and you can soft wash rather than use a pressure washer.

I spray around and under (pier and beam house) with DemonMax. Don't really ever have issues with bugs aside from the occasional dead roach or something.

Web Remover

Not trying to go out of my way to be a smart arse by posting this link and image of a broom. In my earlier life I worked at Orkin for a summer. Spiders were one of the hardest pests to deal with. We used a broom like the one in the image to remove the webs and an orange/citrus based spray as a deterrent, I can't remember the name of the product. The spray didn't kill the spiders, it's purpose was to drive them off and make it unpleasant for them to come back. That was almost 30 years ago so I'm sure they've made some kind of improvement.

I learned the difference between pest extermination and pest control that summer.

Step 1: Use an extender broom like Harlan showed to knock down all existing webs
Step 2: treat the foundation and eaves with Suspend or Talstar
Step 3: spray the bushes any trim back any trees that touch the house
Step 4: Repeat monthly until the issue is resolved
Step 5: Reduce treatments to every 2-3 months
