I’m looking for anyone that had a good experience and price point with a generator install with a reputable company here locally. I’m in Tara with about 1850 square foot, wondering about pricing.

Chustz Electric seemed to be the best deal I came across. Took about 6 weeks to get the unit installed though.

I had good experience with Optimize.

22kw through Pan Am Power for $8900 installed. This was pre-Ida and pre Biden's America so inflation probably bumps that a bit higher

Gas run was about 5ft
Electric run was about 20ft
Both trenched

Not sure where Tara is, but I had a 22kw generac installed in Belle Chasse, LA. It was a little over $10,000. My house is about 2600 with a pool. Everything that can be runs on natural gas. It’s had a couple of hiccups, but I love it.

Had one installed with our new build in Napoleonville. 24kw for 7500 but got a deal because it was with my electrician that was doing the job.

Can second this
I got 3 quotes last month
They were, by far, the cheapest and most helpful on walking me through the process
Got a 22K for $13K
Being installed next week

The square footage of your house isn’t as important as knowing the electrical load.
If your home is 1850 square foot and you have electric heat, elec. water heater, electric appliances, etc. you could need a larger generator than the same size home with gas heat, gas water heater and gas appliances.

I’m not in your area, but had a 24kw Generac installed about a year ago. No major storms, but a few outages, and I can say I don’t regret spending the money on it one bit.
As noted, sq footage doesn’t matter - it’s what you need to run on electricity.
