I have a huge spider problem in my boat houses. They are frikin ridiculous. They are all over the rafters and have nothing but webs and they shite all over everything. After 4 days, you would swear no one has been here in years. Biggest issue is the shite is a pain to remove from the boats and any furniture. I have sprayed just about everything possible and nothing works. Does anyone have anything that is sure fire to kill these bastards short of burning down the place. Moth balls? Dawn and water like Billy the exterminator?

I’m also considering at offering them a peace offering and giving them the top and rafters by putting up a ceiling on the bottom joist and paint blue.

Any words of wisdom?

I'll give it a shot. Nuking my whole yard has still been the only thing to really work.

Initially, you may want beef up dosage a little bit

Both suspend and talstar will knock them out.

Hit every corner, every rafter and the interior and exterior baseboard/foundation.

You will have to stay with it, boathouses are tough because there is just an incredible amount of prey for spiders floating around.

Spend the money and get a backpack fogged, this will allow you to get in every nook and cranny

Yeah, don't spray anything on the water.

Same here, and their droppings are a pain to remove from boat.

bug bombs and talstar

the bug bombs remove the flying food source of bugs for them and talstar kills them and anything still around they might eat

I guess I never thought about it but I’m not sure I ever understood that spiders take a shite until I read it this thread. I’m not sure what I thought they did with their waste.

I want to say I tried suspend in the past and it seemed to be xtc as they seemed to come back twice as many. I’ll give it a shot. I sprayed a bunch of demon today for carpenter bees and used the rest in there. It is over the water however the boat slips have boats and very little if any will drip in. Is this a concern?

Geckos will work them over pretty good. I transplanted some in my shop a few years ago and now they are plentiful, and there's way less cobwebs. Used to be black widows everywhere in there and I cant remember the last time I've seen one.

Cyper, talstar, and suspend work well. Sometimes you have to rotate them and up the dosage to the strongest recommended.

Cyper and suspend. There is also a product called web out that is supposed to keep their webs from sticking to surfaces. Basically they will move on to somewhere else and build webs there.

You will need something with a long killing residual. I would go with Cyper WSP, the generic version of Demon WP. it's a wettable soluable powder, one must shake the solution up before spraying to avoid the powder from settling to the bottom. It' a 40% cypermethrin.

After spraying the water dries, and it leaves the powdery residue behind. This allows for it to kill up to 90 days inside a home or boathouse.

Buy the 1 lb pail. Makes around 50 gallons of spray. 1 packet to 1 gal of water.
