Looking at tinting 4 windows that have a western exposure so get roasted in the summer afternoons and evenings. It's supposed to last much longer. Is ceramic tint's performance worth the additional cost?

Not sure. But when I got my truck tinted, I went with the ceramic because it wasn’t much more than regular tint and I had heard good things about it.

I don't have it, but my neighbor put it on his new truck. Said he didn't like it and went to original tint.

OP, why not install dark screens? That helps a lot.

Not sure just dark screens would knock off enough heat. Might try tint and dark screens, though.

I have it on my truck. Only put it on the front 2 windows. It was a lot more expensive than the regular tint. The other windows on the truck have factory tint. Basically the same darkness all the way around (except the windshield). There is a significant difference in the amount of heat you feel when you touch the inside of the front windows in direct sunlight. You can go to almost any window tint shop and they will have a box with a heat lamp in it and you can feel the difference for yourself.

Solar shield of Louisiana if your in the Baton Rouge area. We had same problems and the Solar screens will cut out 70% of the heat, If not more. We installed few years ago and they work very well. Pretty reasonable prices and they will custom fit your windows.

It's worth the price. I got my car tinted in 2017, still looks great, no noticeable change in quality. It was only $50 more than the step below.

We did our front and back door. I’ve definitely noticed a difference in our kitchen. At times it didn’t even feel like we a/c in the kitchen, now it stays comfortable.

Even a light tint can block 30%-40% heat coming in. It’s impressive stuff and worth the extra $$
