Best way to get rid of geckos

Particularly those transparent ones. I've got about a dozen of them crapping on my patio walls. Tried peppermint powder. My next thought is to get one of those salt guns and start picking them off in the mornings.

I'm including my question in here as well. How about green tree frogs? I don't want to kill them, but holy shite I've got at least 20+ on my back patio and windows every night and they shite everywhere.

adult love bugs are acidic, that’s why they corrode the paint on your car. Lots of things eat the larvae though
OP turn your outside lights off and the geckos will move on. But, small reptiles and amphibians are indicator species reflective of the health of the ecosystem around you. Lots of them means you have a healthy environment and that’s good for you too

I wish that was the case. My patio is pitch black at night. I'm sure the bugs are still there for food because when I turn the lights on in the morning, those bastards scatter.

Make frog hotels in areas you do not mind the frogs, it will reduce the frogs where you don't want them. Simple as some PVC pipes in a bucket of rocks in a semi shaded area will attract the frogs. There are several plants they love too, snake plants, bromeliads, pineapple plants, etc. Anything that they can hide while clinging to a vertical surface with a lil bit of water near by.

Funny you say that because my wife has 2 pretty large snake plants on each end of the patio, and I saw a few of them hiding out in there when I watered the other day.

Or a coyote. But then you would need a Walker dog to run off the coyote. But then you would have geckos again.

For tree frog PVC habitat, mine seem to prefer 2" diameter and 5' long. Just keep them vertical.
