I researched the best automatic pool cleaner to keep my pool spotless with minimal effort. After checking expert reviews from reputable sources like the new york times, pool nerd and forbes, two models consistently stand out as top recommendations:

Dolphin CC Pool Cleaner Plus Wi-Fi

https://shorturl.at/ZSgRS

Beatbot AquaSense 2 Pool Cleaner

https://shorturl.at/FdqRt

Dolphin cc pool cleaner is known for its wifi connectivity, efficient wall climbing brushes and excellent coverage for ground pools up to 50 feet long. It is plug and play and has a strong reputation for reliability and long term performance. A great option if you want scheduled cleanings and smart navigation without worrying about charging batteries.

Beatbot aquasense 2 pool cleaner is a cordless, high tech model that cleans above and in ground pools up to 3 230 sq. ft. It features smart surface parking, double pass waterline scrubbing, and covers floor, walls, and waterline. Perfect for those who want powerful cleaning, wireless freedom, and advanced ai assisted features.

I mainly want a pool cleaner for consistent debris removal, wall scrubbing, and ease of use. A cordless option sounds convenient but smart scheduling and long term durability also matter a lot to me.

I am torn between these two since they both offer impressive features. So, which one would you recommend: Dolphin cc plus wifi or Beatbot aquasense 2?Any thoughts, comparisons, or personal experiences would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance

We have the dolphin and it fits our needs. Easy to clean and maintain.

You probably can’t go wrong with either one.

But a lot less stock in what Forbes says. The way they churn out wildly unrelated content across all manner of subjects tells me that they buy low quality stories and content and churn them out (the next story underneath the one you read was probably about discovered the new anti-aging berry or similar.) The Wirecutter was bought by the NYT, and was reliable prior to the acquisition. Try scanning the forums at Troublefreepool to look for either model.

Nautilus owner here. Game changer in pool upkeep. Have mine teamed with a Betta Bot surface cleaner.

I'm on year 3 with our Dolphin Proteus DX4. It has a cord and is not wifi. That's what I was looking for. I don't keep it in the pool. I bought a caddy and cover to keep everything neat. I also bought the ultra-fine filters that I'll use during different times of the year. Maytronics has tons of options and versions, many are proprietary to particular vendors. I haven't had any problems with it, knock on wood.

I got this one as it was th best I could find for the money. I wanted a corded, simple machine.

Polaris from Marina $799

Happy with it so far. Does not do the steps well. other than that it gets sand and small particles well.

Get a Polaris Freedom Cordless. It costs 1399 and well worth paying more. Do not buy singing with a cord. If you go into a pool store like a Leslie's pools or a pinch a penny you will see more repairs being done on the ones with a cord. If you get a cordless dry off the bottom of it before you put back on the charger

The problem I have is that we put a gunnite table in our pool. The dummy cleaner that works on the return jet wraps itself around the table in the first 10 minutes of kicking it on or untangling it and it spends most of its time not cleaning anything.

I want a corded unit personally because I want the continuous power of a plugged in unit, but I cannot find specifically if a corded unit will get wrapped around the table. they all say "smart" cleaner, but even calls to polaris, the reps are unsure if you can geofence off a section of the pool. Kinda annoying.

I bought an Aiper scuba s1 and it’s been awesome. I’ve only had it for a little over a month so can’t say on the reliability yet, but for the price I could buy 3 of them for the price of a dolphin. There’s a long thread on troublefreepools on them.

My Dolphin stopped connecting to WIFI after 12 months. A year after that, it died completely. Very expensive tool that only last 2 years.

I just bought a $100 Temu pool cleaner. Works well enough, and if it shits the bed at the end of pool season, I figure I can get 8 years out of replacing it, and still be where I am with the Dolphin that didn't make it to season two.

I need a new one. My issues are that I don’t have wifi outside because plaster walls suck. Currently have a Polaris Quattro which is dead and was a raging piece of shite for the 2.5 years it worked.

Do you guys remove the robots when done or leave in pool?

I went with the Dolphin quantum, AC model. Did not want to deal with the battery issue and love it. Cord does not cause any issues at all and the cleaner works well

I have a cage over my pool so I use the fine filters to take out the sand and my pool is much cleaner since I started using it two to three days a week

Bought a Scuba S1 two years ago I think. Just recently had to replace the charger. We run it every other day. For the price it’s awesome.

I have never used anything but the Quantum. I have only had it about 7 or8 months. Has been spot on so far.

The Premier looks very similar to mine, just with a few better options. Same style filter.

Dolphin Premier?
I have the Premier, zero complaints, has remained in the water x 3 years,,,,,it’s corded, I doubt I would wanna fish one of these things out the water daily to charge and then put back in the water

Has the cord deteriorated at all?

Thanks for the reply. Huge investment over the other pool cleaners, but I'm a buy once, cry once, kind of guy.

I also have an Aiper Scuba S1 and it does a great job and costs significantly less that a Polaris, etc.
