Looking for a gunite pool w/ hot tub and about 1400sqft of most likely travertine decking. Not necessarily looking for the cheapest but wanting to keep it as “affordable” as possible. Any reqs or personal experiences good or bad would be appreciated

Russell Pools is one of the oldest builders in BR. Not a national chain and not fly by night. You will get what you pay for.

Be super careful with most types of pool businesses in Baton Rouge. They are full of methheads.

Zydeco Construction. From three quotes we got they were the best price. 15x30 with hot tub 100% completed in a month.

You get what you pay for in the pool business. I’ve used two different big-name pool builders and both left me disappointed for different reasons. If I could go back, I’d have used Russell pools both times. I tried on the second pool but there was a pretty big wait time with them. This was during the Covid times. In hindsight, I should have waited.

Ricardo runs the crews that a lot of the other companies sub the work out too anyway.

Calling him directly is a good idea, I used a different company but he built my pool in 2019

I’m sure they all use the same subs. There aren’t that many.

So, what was the price for this pool? How was the quality? It didn't concern you that their schedule was apparently wide open?

Scapes.
Quality construction
Just completed a 600ft pool with spa.
Dig to gunite in 7 days.
Excellent subsurface drainage.
All crews in house except for plaster, which is why they’re so efficient.
I got 3 quotes from other contractors and scapes within 5k of other bids.

Renaissance Homes and Pools did ours. Very happy with the results. Call Joey Blanchard 225-252-7745.
