I have older LG mini split single head units that are having varied issues and discontinued, thinking about just replacing with a tri-zone.

Della and sunville seem to be the brands Amazon pushes but like everything else there are 4 sterling reviews and then 1 where someone says it’s a POS and customer service is nonexistent. I assume they’re all made in China. Anyone had a good experience?

I did a Daikin and like it so far. Most of the "good" AC companies down here use Daikin. Great unit for the price

The HVAC professional techs on HVAC Talk forum recommend the Japanese owned HVAC companies mini-splits - Fujitsu, Mitsubishi, Daikan. Better made, better warranty, parts are readily available, more techs know how to work on them…. Many of those are manufactured in Japan, Thailand, Mexico….but not China.

My research shows Mitsubishi as one of the very best, followed by Daikan, and then Fujitsu.

We have Fujitsu in our new house and it's my first experience with mini-splits so I have nothing to compare to but it's been great for the past year.

Also have a Daiken. It works great! Only thing I didn’t like is no smart features on mine. I bought a switchbot to control it remotely.

Definitely the best.

That said Ive installed mostly pioneers over the past 5 years and they've been good so far.
