Mates our bathroom tiles are cut and laid out for mortaring tomorrow but we're unsure about this last potential cut in the toilet alcove.
Everything was cut to flow....
... so should we make this final cut in the toilet alcove to keep the lines consistent, or should we leave it fully intact because it's a separate nook?
This alcove is to the left behind the door in picture 1 - across from the tub.
Really appreciate it mates, TIA

Leave it intact. Or go back to the starting time and cut it so you end up with a joint center on the turlet. But that may affect other things.

100% leave intact.
Zappas comment is spot on but that may be a lot of effort for something nobody would ever notice.

Thanks to all we were strongly leaning towards cutting it per someone else’s advise and now We’re torn even more

To do it right, you need to line up everything. Cut it.

You have to cut that tile--the mismatch in grout lines is glaring and you'll notice it every time you're in that bathroom. You're only about 6" off with that grout line--why not cut that same length off the starter tiles at doorway and all the lines should match up? Having a cut edge at the doorway is not a big deal--you probably should be caulking the tile edges at doorway to serve as expansion joint.

Are those 24x24 tiles? If so your toilet alcove looks a bit narrow huh?
And back on topic, yes line up the grout lines.

You could take the alcove tile out and replace with a smaller tile / mosaic pattern that lined up with the main tile pattern.

Have you set the toilet on it? If you can see where the grout line should be I’d absolutely cut it. Easy cut and do it right. You can even use that same tile you just cut.
But there’s a small chance the toilet footprint covers it so you wouldn’t see the grout line anyway.

I would leave it. First how many people are using this bathroom that would actually care about a grout line. If you follow the pattern you have that makes the cut close to where the toilet base will sit which could make it easier for the tile to crack.
Also easier to level the one piece for sitting the toilet. You get expansion at the perimeter but that doesn’t really matter.

I'd cut it for aesthetics. It will never bother you if you cut it, it will always bother you if you don't.

This is probably the best solution. That tile is too big for that small space.

I agree. Why ruin all that work bc you got lazy on one cut? Anyone who knows anything about home improvement/construction will notice.

Another thought OP, just cut a notch for the grout line in the front of the tile about 6 inches long. Any decent tile saw will make this easy, grinder too. That keeps the tile in one piece but you’ll still have a spot to grout for continuity. Your toilet is going to cover the back of the tile no one will see the grout line stop.
Boom. You are welcome.

Id definitely cut it or notch it to make a faux grout line to match.
