Yeah, the departure will be noticed following that push of air. I will now be filling every other day instead of every day. Generally, by the first week of October I am done with Rubys and holding out for a vagrant Rufous.

Been seeing them quite a bit since the last bunch of storms. Disappeared the last couple of days with all the wind and what not. Jones Creek/Harrels Ferry area.

I went from about 20 to 4 in the last 48 hours. Curious to see if these 4 are just going to move in.

They gone!

A 20-30 mph north breeze sure seems like it would help migration south

Yesterday I had two, today only one. It is going to get into the low to mid 40's in a few days and this loner needs to leave. I picked up two of my four feeders this morning.

I had 30 or 40 between 5 feeders as of about 2 weeks ago. I was going through about 3/4 gallon of nectar a day. I'm down to 3 or 4 now.

I leave mine out for a while for the ones that are running behind. It was in the mid 40s last night and I have seen a one or two hummers throughout the day.

I had a lot of bottle brush bushes when I live in Elberta, AL. The hummers loved them. Sadly I cannot have them here in NW Arkansas.

Still seeing a few (3?) female/HY male ruby throated hummingbirds here in the FL Panhandle. I've taken notes the last couple of years, and I see my last Ruby in early October, and the Rufous show up about a month later and spend the winter with us.

we have three feeders spread out over the property, but they all fight over the one on the front porch

I had one straggler come by yesterday. This is the first one I have seen in about a week. I will leave the one feeder out for a few more weeks before taking it down for the season.
