I use Chrome on Mobile and I've noticed it too. What's happening is your actual finger/key press is taking place below your intended finger/key press. It usually 'clicks' the next link below whether it's a thread or board. It seems to have started in last year. But not really sure. It's not really a bug but a kinda glitch as it's not sending you to the wrong link but misreading where you're pressing on the screen.
If you pay close attention when pressing a link you'll see your intended link isn't always highlighted. This is when it happens. You can go back and try again and it works.

Its been going on a while, I think im almost certain I had issues in 2020
Using the mobile site. My problem is similar to the one stated earlier where I will click the o-t lounge then see the golf board 2 spots above it highlight

Doesn't seem to be tied to site traffic. Actually just had it happen again when I clicked the thread about the person faking their vaccine i ended up on the one about trying to bribe a police officer.
Im gonna use a different browser tomorrow and will see if it still happens

Happens to Flash and me too. Android, Chrome. Mobile. I started noticing it several months ago.

Seems like most of this is Android users. Several people have mentioned that's what they use, and I know bbap does as well.

I pretty much exclusively view the website through safari on my iPhone and have never had this happen

My guess is it's more than likely a chrome issue than an android issue.

I have this problem also. Android, Microsoft Edge browser (built on Chromium, open source Chrome code), mobile version of site. Been happening for months.
