Rummey, I am the Shunammite woman's son and you are my Elisha. I will never forget you for it.

As in Cuthbert?
'Cause she's smoking hot.

And why does this concern you?
Just asking about it. Not that the OT is exactly filled with complex thoughts regardless

Like right now, I would delete two of the current snack threads and merge the best one with the bible study thread.

I'm eating Delta Biscoff cookies for my late night bible study thread snack

I guess this is why I don't get your OP. I don't participate in those threads, but they are infinitely better than the 'I fricked an OT 10 in the arse with my 12 inch dong and made her recite the Pledge Of Allegiance backwards while she made me a sammich and ironed my clothes' threads.

Been wondering the same thing.
I just avoid the threads. You're not gonna change anyone's mind about religion, so there's no point in arguing

Probably true.
I just hate to see everyone fighting and hurting each other's feelings

Kind of why I avoid them like the plague. I like arguing here (like that was a surprise), but those threads are brutal.

They really are.
They're like NO>BR threads on steroids. They don't necessarily bother me as I tend to stay out of them; I was more wondering if there was a reason they're so plentiful lately.
There has been a new one every day since the 15th. Scary!

You get a different crowd in OT religion threads.
The poli board scares me a lot of times. If I spend too much time there I start feeling nauseous and lightheaded. Like staring at the sun.

That's obviously not me.

The problem with religious discourse is that it never retains its original scope. The narrowest of semantic inquiries and prompts explode into grand explorations of theology and break the boundaries of metaphysics.
This typically occurs not because the conversation naturally flows that way, but because some dimwit without the slightest idea of what the thread is really about has to make a zealous comment either way (Christian or anti-Christian) and drops in with a proudly stupid claim that someone on "the other side" inevitably must refute.
Red herrings bring about the nausea in those threads, not thesis - antithesis.

That's a good point. In the past, no matter how hard I have tried to avoid it, I have been drawn into questions that have no place being in a thread about a particular subject on religion. But the question just stands there mocking me; the question is usually broad and has been asked a million times before, like the stupid dinosaurs on earth question that comes up in the LNBST once a week.
RummelTiger, can I get your permission to start another thread (and you can anchor it if you wish) for the links to past LNBSTs? The list is growing so long now that it's getting in the way, and if I could simply link to another thread that has all the links there, it would be a lot better.

No. Do not start another thread tonight.
Just throw the links in the current one.

Why can't you just have normal posts? Is there a need to write an epic every time you post? Is there a meaning to life? Is there a cure for whatever it is Brag has under his arms?
