Thoughts on a Science/Tech Board?

What do yall think? I know there is a large number of users that keep up with the latest science and astronomy news. Couple that with technology (iphone, android, etc.) I think this would be a successful board.

We've been requesting such a board for over two years, yet we still haven't received an actual response from an admin.
An argument for a Technology Board.
The continuing campaign for a Tech Board.
Once again......Tech Board please?

Will we ever get a tech board?
Tech Board for the New Year
Has the time arrived for a tech board on TD?

I am impressed by your level of research for this response. I feel like the addition of a science forum to the tech forum will help our chances. It's hard to have a logical discussion on science without being trolled.

"SciTech", perhaps. Although I feel that "technology" is hyponymous of "science", and thus "science" wouldn't need to be an explicit component of the board's appellation.

I fully support a tech board. 
That would bring in an entire field of posters who would post on such a board.
I think the discussion would be better than what you could get on the OT these days.
Also, I hope that Chicken and Circus Child realizes that more posters = more ad hits = more money to be made.

I'm certainly not averse to having "science" in the board's name. I would honestly take anything at this point. As mentioned, we've be requesting this board for over two years.
It's 2013...we have a dedicated board for music, fantasy sports, and soccer...but not one for technology...

We've been asking for it hardcore for an entire year, yet the admins have yet to even respond to it. I really don't understand why they won't at least address the issue.

TigerFred alluded to the fact that this was Dhilip's decision, as he had to "mull" it over...but it seems Chicken is the one who decided on the Music Board...
