Which peptide(s) is right for me?

Seems like there are plenty of peptides out there and it’s basically a menu of what you want, but is there someone or somewhere to go to ask which are best for someone? Take me, I’m 45, fairly good shape, but would like to lose 10 pounds of fat and replace it with lean muscle. Age is creeping in so everything that comes along with that is there - ligaments, aging skin, grey hair, etc.
These things look pretty powerful so I respect them more than a vitamin and would think a doctor should have some knowledge about this?

Retatrutide or tirzepatide
Tesamorelin
Ipamorelin

ligaments
BPC-157 and TB-500

GHK-Cu - this won't help with hair color, but will help with fuller hair. Takes several months to see results. You should see skin tightening in 6-8 weeks.
Ipamorelin will also help with skin tightening.
If you are trying to get rid of wrinkles, you could try snap 8, but I haven't experimented with that one yet.

Testosterone Cypionate and HGH if you can afford it. Peptides are essentially a placebo for me and do nothing. I've used two different providers, and a couple of different peptides, and they've done nothing.

The first thing that comes to mind that I would personally use if I was in the position you describe (and at 47, I kinda am, but I'm different, maybe I'll explain later, but I'll try to stay on track here and provide a useful answer) is growth hormone.
I really don't think GLP1's are best for someone that has such a small amount of fat to lose. Your bigger challenge and most important objective would be putting on muscle. For that, primarily you just need to eat enough protein and train correctly,(and at your age that means a greater emphasis on not getting hurt), but there are peptides that can help you with both of those goals that aren't growth hormone(P&G already mentioned them), but the one stop shop that covers all your bases is growth hormone.
1) Lose fat = GH
2) Gain muscle = GH
3) mitigate age related changes to hair/skin/nails/bones/joints/etc = GH
As for learning about peptides....the main problem there is what one would expect. If you do a search query about a specific peptide or just "peptides" the first of the results you will find will be from entities that are selling peptides. That conflict of interest is just something you need to remain aware of, but if you dig deeper you can find links to research that is truly informational. If you go to a provider in person and ask about these things you'll either be told they are all bunk, to stay away, "I don't deal with that," or again, you'll be dealing with a very excited pro-peptide person with that same conflict of interest. (They're pro-peptide because again, they are selling them, so of course they want to say, "They work, this one is great, and so is this one, we can get you up on an entire program, no problem, just come into my office." and they will sell you thousands of dollars of stuff that likely won't do shite.)
It can be intimidating and daunting to try to learn about these things because there is so much BS that has to be filtered out, but I've been learning about them for about 8 years and if you're really interested in learning about anything that never stops. I still learn new things about this topic every week. I always suggest to people to do a lot more study and reading and a lot less purchasing and injecting. Your wallet will thank you.
ps. but seriously.....growth hormone.

Here's an alternate view on GH:
HGH is really only indicated when there's actual pituitary pathology, which you don't sound like you have.
But even setting that aside, the data in healthy guys is underwhelming. The lean mass gains are mostly water retention, not real muscle. Strength doesn't improve. Side effects in 40-50% of people (joint pain, swelling, carpal tunnel). It worsens insulin resistance, which is the opposite of what you should be working toward. And whatever modest body comp changes you get disappear within months of stopping.

Nobody using HGH alone is doing it for any of those purposes. Its primarily for better sleep, recovery, and fat loss.
The ones that are using it for muscle growth (its in most bodybuilding protocols) are using it in conjunction with insulin

This could be said for basically everything in the fitness industry

TRT, HGH and low dose Reta are the holy trinity for us men in our 40s.

bpc-157 if you are having tendon/ligament issues.
low dose Reta to cut 10 lbs.
HGH or the HGH secretagogues are fine if you are deficient enough. If you HGH isn't low you are wasting time and money and giving yourself joint pain and carpal tunnel.
I'm starting a cycle pf KPV to see how it does for joint inflammation. I'll get on here in a month or so to let you know how it goes.
The first thing I would do is TRT and lift heavy. That resolves a lot of it.

I'm out. I deal with this too much as it is. Nothing like waking up a few hours earlier than the alarm clock with one or both hands screaming at you.

How low of a dose are you talking?

Starting dose. Do it for a couple of weeks, if it's working, no need to up the dose.

You just keep on that same mg dosage and eventually stop when you hit your target body fat or weight?
