So I listened to that the drive podcast in reference to the marathon thread and stumbled upon magnesium. I have been contemplating taking ashwaganda but I don’t really take any supplements. I should get some fish oil.

The older I’ve got the more I’ve noticed how anxious I feel with work and life especially a night after drinking or actually the Monday morning after having three drinks on Saturday night. Of course I could quit and I did do a dry January and that has greatly lowered my intake.

I would like to be able to perform at work how I do on Tuesdays through the rest of the week. It’s like Monday morning I dread life and I’m to anxious about all the things and task I have going on until I eat lunch and then by that afternoon I get rolling.

I do take a low dose of adderall. I’m a classic Ritalin baby. I don’t have problems focusing really, I have problems focusing on things that aren’t interesting or enticing in a challenging way. I for one due think it is overprescribed but an it definitely can help you focus if you lean into it. I also thinks it increases anxiety.

For some reason on Monday mornings I just can’t get it going. I figure some mood enhancer or something like magnesium would help with that and even if it doesn’t it’s probably something I need to be taking.

So y’all give me a direct product name and dosage and why y’all take it and where to get it. I’ve started researching but don’t feel like putting in the effort to go through dosage and forms. I just want to go buy something and then report back after a month or 8 weeks.

I've tried them all over the last 5 or 6 years and have settled in the Dr Tobias Magnesium Bisglycinate.

I take Magnesium Glycinate (chelated) for anxiety and muscle pain (from Fibro). 100 mg (I can take up to 300 mg in a day) usually is enough for me.

It also doesn’t give me any stomach issues, which can be a thing with Magnesium.

Find a quality ZMA supplement. Most of us are also deficient in zinc.

You can get Body Tech ZMA from the Vitamin Shoppe, which I've been using lately. It is comparable to the more expensive stuff, like the ZMA from Biotest.

I like Jigsaw Health's products. I use their pickleball cocktail for when I'm running and working out. Idk why they market it toward pickleball players. I use their MagSoothe when I need a goodnight sleep and stop waking up from leg cramps.
