I'm looking for a vest that is great for all around Crossfit style workout. The one I have now has the sand bags, and is impossible to run in. It's looking like the only way to go is a plate carrier. Does that mean my only option is to spend $150+ for one?

Any suggestions on comfortable vests that don't move around too much?

They are so freaking expensive it’s ridiculous.

Best option I have found so far is the Lynx barbell plate carrier, but I don't think I can convince myself to spend that kind of money on one.

I've been looking hard at the Cross101 40lb. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger.

I love mine. Neighbor loves it too and uses it more than I do.

I'm going to keep looking for the time being. Right now I'm between the Condor and the Cross101. Even if the Condor is a little cheaper than other plate carriers, it still takes another $75 to get the plates to make it 20lbs.

Rogue sells the Condor.

This is what I have

Looking, Amazon seems to only sell ones designed for use as an actual bulletproof vest. For plates (and other vest options):

What plates did you all go with?

Company gave us $200 to Amazon so I’m going to get the 5.11 TacTec.

I had the laser cut flat ones from Rouge, but sold them a few months ago and bought the cast ones that are more contoured to the body. It's a pretty minimal difference, but if price is negligible (haven't checked price in a while), then I'd go with the cast contoured ones.

Perfect, that’s what I was looking for.

The Echoes look similar- I’m guessing they’re just thicker than the cast iron?

I have a hypervest. Very comfortable. But I can see some holes in the weight slots.
