A good weight loss program is like seeding for grass. You think it's not working at all for several weeks and then one day you wake up and BAM, there it is

you may be right about this, Just learning about IF, and the more research I have done it seems like I am not really doing this. I start traveling back to the US tomorrow so I will play with this. I did lose almost 9lbs, and I feel better. Usually have gut issues but feel really good right now.

Just reading about IF, it seemed like I would have dropped more weight. But I am not totally discouraged. I am a lot leaner than I was weeks ago.
After watching a few videos I am concerned that my cal intake is to low for long term.

Awesome man I’m taking a break for Mardi Gras. I’ll keep exercising, but I’m drinking beer and eating king cake. Lock down mode begins Ash Wednesday. I need to drop 20 more and I’ll be set

i have been off of here for a few days, keeping my cals low and trying to shake this jet leg, feeling better today.

but like others said my weight finally started coming down,
7 weeks ago I was 230, this morning I am at 218. Makes me feel pretty good. I will pushing though the next few days and get back to IF Wed morning.

thanks for all of the input on here

Whats everyones thoughts on IF 16/8, weather to do this everyday, or 5days a week with 2 off? or some other way.

some of my online research recommends to IF every day.

thanks

Once you intake calories, your fast is broken.

Correct. Once calories are consumed, the benefits of the fast subside. I believe most of us have seen research or discussions on that point. However, some are now speculating that caffeine can also interrupt some of the benefits of fasting. I am not sure if that last part is correct or not. Maybe someone more knowledgeable than me can speak up on that point. Either in this thread or another.

I've seen her essentially argue that any non-water ingredient "wakes up" your metabolism, and thus ends the fast.

Well done. Hard work pays off. Went from 205 to 180, I’m 6’ on the nose first thing in the morning. I’m down to 2-3 times week at gym and find I’m able to maintain my weight, but I do my 125, 4 sit-up variations & 50 pushups every day. I’m definitely watching my diet closer than before weight loss but have loosened up on what’s allowable.

I’m a big sauna and Rhonda Patrick fan. I have not seen any substantial evidence a 16 hour intermittent fast is more effective than a 12 hour intermittent fast.

Down 30 pounds in 9 weeks I started at 229 and now weigh 199. My goal when I started was to be 195. Last week I took it easy in the gym and drank too much beer watching March Madness. This week it's time to get to the finish line

Congrats! Now is the time to start planning for maintenance and body comp. Have you thought any further about refeeding, lifestyle changes, how to deal with cravings, and things of the sort? It's important because many people fall back into their old habits and feel like they have a cushion because they are smaller.

I have been following IF for about 7 weeks, have been making adjustments as I go and learn more.
Down 18lbs, I think I want to get drop another 10 or so that Maintain around that weight.
I have been consistent on my training the whole time. Which will continue.
Not 100% sure of my next step, but this week I have been adding more cals/protein per day. A little at the time. and still dropped so I will see how this goes
