Its really incredible to consume 4000 fewer calories in a weekend because I'm only having 2 glasses of wine instead of 1.5 bottles (or 2 beers instead of 9) each night.

Also, the best surprise is that weed stops making you binge eat once you get used to it. If anything it's been quote helpful to my intermittent fasting during the week. I will have my first six-pack since college by June

I agree with everything you say except the binge eating. I’ve been switching booze for weed for months and still get the munchies like crazy.

I consume exclusively "active / aware / high energy" sativa I wonder if that has anything to do with it. It actually seems to suppress my appetite almost like adderall

This is correct, the sativa part. It’s a very cerebral high that’s doesn’t possess most of the negative attributes associated with low grade weed or heavy indica dank. I’ve been sober from everything for 10 years and plan on stayin that way. But if I went back to a vice it’d be exactly what you are doing!

The only problem is that it’s still illegal for some of us, and it’s not worth the risk getting caught with a failed drug test.

^^^

It's quite pitiful because I'd reduce my alcohol consumption at least in half.

Upvote. Legalize it. I haven't taken a drink since last October mostly because my running schedule gets in the way but It'd be nice to have an edible after logging a 70 mile week. Plus abs are made in the kitchen so there's no room for for drinking my calories.

Yep. If/when LA decides to legalize weed, my beer consumption will decline dramatically.

It has already declined as I’ve aged since if I drink more than 2 beers these days, I have a headache the next morning.

I don’t drink too much, but I know that it definitely has a net negative impact on me. Doesn’t help that beer is my favorite alcohol method.

I’ve never used weed, but would be open to edibles if Texas legalizes. Based on our current legislature, that may be coming soon actually. Not in this legislative session but attitudes are softening.

I’m a hard right republican and I make no apologies for that, but the sole thing I lobbied my congressman for this year was to work towards legalizing.

I'm gonna replace the few beers tonight for Game of Thrones with a few tugs of some decent weed, I'm pretty excited

My scale in the morning will thank me

It’s coming. There are bills making its way around legislation. It’s that old bible beaters still shoot it down. I don’t even like marijuana, and I can tell you it’s better off to legalize. You can still regulate it like alcohol. Don’t drive high, must be 21, can’t smoke in restaurants, etc.

I’ve substituted gin and sparkling water and white wine for my usual beer night caps and I feel like it’s a big difference.

Problem is when I smoke I like to have 2-3 IPAs and a movie or show to binge
