Ways to systemically find right diet.....Allergy? Blood tests?

Hello, first time posting on the Health Fitness board.
I have severe joint issues even after losing 60 lbs. Went from 270 to 210 at 6-4 via the whole30. Best I have felt systemically in 20 years.
The joint pain was still there after two years and then the diet started to lose effectiveness. I then added fasting to whole30 and weight came back down to 210 for 6 month. Slowly crept back up to 240.
Safe to say there is a sustainable diet for each and every person.
These factors are what?
Blood Type?
Environment?
Setting?
Is there a blood test/allergy test that can be performed to find out what diet is best for you?
Should I see a gastro enterologist? Nutritionist?
I have already seen a Rheumatologist. Considering vegetarian if it works for joint pain.

add Dr Axe Collagen (type I,II,III,V,X) and liquid tumeric and see how you feel after 14-21 days.

I think a lot of finding the perfect diet is experimenting from a solid starting point that leads you to your own personal anecdotal evidence.
Me for instance I started on Paleo but to me had a lot of silly rules, like you can’t eat mass produced farmed vegetables because caveman didn’t farm kind of rules. From there I went to a just don’t eat processed foods diet. Enjoyed the food but felt like I was getting too many carbs. From there tried Keto. I loved the way I felt 80% of the time on Keto but had cravings cause I was doing the “absolute no cheat day whatsoever” type of Keto. Hey sometimes a motherfricker just wants a donut.
Keto lead me to Vince Girondas steak and egg diet. 5 days of steak and eggs then one day of whatever you want. From there I discovered the anabolic diet (5 days Keto, 2 days of whatever) which is my absolute favorite I have ever been on. I don’t even call it a diet anymore. It’s my lifestyle.
TL:DR Start with a plan, listen to your body, branch out and experiment from the original plan and find your zone. I don’t believe there are any test that tell you what you should do.

You need to do the Keto diet. Your joint pain will be gone within a month. You’ll feel amazing. The Keto diet is insanely anti-inflammatory. Also watch your Omega 6 to 3 ratio.

Looking back on it what do you think were the biggest factors both times?

Biggest factor was congenital severe club feet.
Back in the seventies the choice was to have surgery. These surgeries continued into adolescence.
Left leg stayed in cast and is now two sizes smaller. Requires total ankle replacement. This is not like a hip or knee. Very little success compared to hip/knee.

So couple things
A) there is no diet more sustainable than another
B) you gained the weight back simply from eating more than you burned
C) whole30 worked because it reduced inflammation and the calories you were consuming. It lost it's effectiveness because you slowly messed with the ratios you were initially taking in especially amount of carbs and the amount of calories you were consuming.
D) IF worked and didn't work for same reasons whole30 did
With all the above said, there is no blood type diet etc. Whatever you choose you will need to stick to strictly due to physical impairments. You also want a diet that reduces inflammation, a strict zero carb diet would be best from that especially if you apply whole 30 rules to it. So essentially you would be taking in
Meat/eggs- best source possible
Fats- butter/cream/cheese/ghee from grass fed cows
Avocados
Limited amounts of green veggies
Keep your ratio at 60% or more of fat and pretty much zero carbs and you will lose the weight.
If possible buy a really really high quality fish oil and take 20g a day if possible. I now recommend the fish oil from true nutrition.
If you are capable start lifting since I assume cardio is limited. Use linear progression like greyskull for upper body and do what you can for lower body.
But diet is going to be most important due to limited ability to burn calories and do limit amount of inflammation.
Try this at first and I will tell you some other things to help control inflammation once you lose the weight again.

I don’t wanna give you any straight up diet advice as I agree that it varies so much person to person. But if you have an hour or two I’d suggest watching Mikhalia Peterson on Joe Rogan. She’s Jordan Peterson’s daughter and although she is an extreme example of having to limit everything in existence from her diet to get it right listening to her talk about how she went through the process would be some good insight.IMO

Joe Rogan Experience is partly why i am here.
Rhonda Patrick
Layne Norton
etc.
SOunds like there may be a right diet.
And one day we tech/research will not just find the right diet, but the right diagnosis.
Much like particular blood types dictate which BP med folks take.

Haven’t listened to much Norton, but I love Rhonda Patrick. I like how she paints it as “my findings” and never really presents any of it as facts. She’s the one who got me back into IF, which she labels “time restricted eating”. And Ben Greenfeild of all whackos, actually got me doing my carbs (healthy carbs) at the end of my day rather than the beginning, so that even afte I break my fast I continue to burn fat throughout the day and the carb I eat before I go to bed serve as a glycogen store for morning HR Zone 2 training.

Regardless of whatever dogma you hear, lsu777 is the correct response.
There is no 100% perfect diet for everyone. Trial and error is the best method, and document your findings so you can objectively decide what works best (my weakest point).

What’s the purpose of this?
I am very new to keto. I am loving it though. I can feel my body react when I ate carbs/drank a few beers at Christmas. I am locking down after New Years, because we have so many functions this time of year.

While it won't map out a whole diet for you, a food allergy test might not be a bad idea. I did mine, found some foods I had no idea I had issues with, eliminated them and it improved some health issues for me (especially from a gastro aspect).
Have you tried Osteo Bi-Flex as a supplement? If it's an issue of wear and tear from being overweight for so long, it could help.

This is what I was going to say, it goes along the same line of 777 was explaining about getting inflammation down as a whole. If all else fails, you can BIO HACKZZZ

Purpose of fish oil is to improve Omega 3 to 6 ratio. Helps reduce inflammation.
