I was the same way as you until about a year ago when I really started consistently getting around 25 plus miles per week. Your shoes need time to heal between runs and it’s good to get various types of shoes (long distance, speed, everyday runners) for your various workouts. You should probably have at least two. Most on here have between 4-6 I’d guess. The OP has a lot of great info.

I’d have at least 2 pair...even if it’s two of the same pair.

Ideally three pairs: daily trainer, tempo/workout, race. I have 7 pairs but really only wear 2.

Never heard it put this way; but I'd imagine you know more about healing than most.

Off the top of my head I have about 5-6 pairs in my rotation, not including the N% as a racer.

I’d venture to guess this is especially true with all these ultra soft and bouncy super-foams.

Ugh ain’t that the truth.

But yeah, as poster above me said, the cushion needs time to expand back and set.

Just ordered some New Balance Fuel Cell Prisms. Needed a new speed/tempo shoe because my Adidas Bostons are starting to wear out.

I really dont know lol. I’m only running 2-3 days a week. I can really do it all in my ZF. Just would like a pair to alternate.

I have 80 miles on my Endorphin speeds and love them. I mostly use them on tempo/threshold runs, but I can tolerate slower paces in them.

Everyone here seems happy with the Endorphin Speeds, I think I'll go on and get a pair. Last time this board loved something so much it was the Adizero Boston which served me well for a long time.

gsadle5, did you have a foot issue on Strava? Got past it ?

I ran in Kinvaras for a very long time until I jumped on the Altras for a while and then got on the Nike train.

@RS yes my right foot and ankle have been bothering me off and on for a couple of weeks. I’ll have days where it doesn’t bother me at all and times where I’d rather amputate it. It seems to bother most on days I stand in the OR. I should rest it but there is finally a local race ina couple of weeks and I’m dead set to run in it.

I took X-rays lat work a and structurally everything is ok.

Looks like a laceless Epic React. I used to run daily miles in the Epic React and loved it. Not sure how a laceless version will be.

Went to the Nike outlet and was trying to choose between the Odyssey React Flynit 2 and the Air Zoom Pegasus 35. Then found some Zoom Winflo 5's on the wall and walked out with those for a whopping $27.

Anyone have a recommendation for a daily trainer? I’ve been running in the Adizero Bostons forever, but back up to running 25 or so miles a week so want to diversify. Anything Nike fit the bill? I’m open to almost anything - just nothing too bulky or overly cushioned. I like to feel the ground a bit.
