I bet you read meat was dangerous and leads to cancer from one of those studies that used processed meats and hamburgers (think buns) and classified these as "red meat" all the while never taking into account other lifestyle factors including alcohol, smoking, and exercise. But red meat is dangerous

um no

I had red meat yesterday for lunch

I meant deep fried, nothing wrong with pan fried. And it's not hard to find good uncured bacon at all, just takes a little effort.

Obesity is a huge problem in China lately. Not so sure I'd use them to make a case for carbs. Japan is also having an increase on obesity.

The American way baby. It is far reaching. China finally has a true middle class. Or some semblance of one. They want to eat, and they want the shite we ate 20 years ago probably. Pound rice all day WITH Big Macs? Gonna be a problem.

I'm sure added sugar in everything we eat is not helping.

no you didnt, you tried to say i said fruits and veggies caused cancer when thats not what I said. I said cancer lives on glucose and must have glucose to survive and also must be in an acidic enviornment. Both things many fruits provide.

I specficially said a perfect diet would include blueberries or grape fruits to help with the acidic environment.

I didnt argue with you because your reading comprehension sucked.

Asians are able to eat less calories. Why? They eat more grains and of course rice. They are able to sustain on this food source and not feel hungry. Our sedentary life style compared with asians is true. I don't see how pounding meat is going to help that though.

actually rice causes spikes in insulin which tend to cause hunger. So again, wrong.

and of course the typical american diet sucks. Most are completely confused on what the hell to eat and think big macs are ok.

and of course you dont see eating protein as a way to help with out sedentaryt life style, because no offense you are ignorant in that arena. Protein is by far the hardest macro for our body to digest and requires the most amount of energyy, upto 40% of the energy derived from a gram of protien is used to just digest it. Also protein is the hardest of all the macros for our body to store as bodyfat. SO yea no way eating more protein would be the answer huh?

I agree that most meats found in grocery store are from dog shite sources. Find better sources, they are everywhere in the texas and LA region. Visit eat wild or a local famrers market. Sure it takes effort but its not hard.

as far as weightloss goes, your body doesnt know the difference between a piece of chocolate or a piece of fruit on a calorie for calorie basis. Sure the fruit provides better micros but overall calories are the same. The key to effectient weightloss is very simple for anybiody that doesnt have a metabolic problem and even that can be fixed in most cases. Its simple, eat enough protein to maintain muscle mass and be in a caloric deficit. pretty damn simple.

I prefer balance. For me that comes with a few meat and dairy free meals and full days.

I prefer following the latest scientific studies and adjusting things according to that and what makes me feel the best.

Phinney is sort of my starting point for these things right now. He is nondogmatic and does a great job of following the science while calling out dogmatic pseudoescience.

Most Americans can't afford or find this option. Our standards for food quality is a joke.

I continued to talk about carcinogens and the causes of cancer while you kept throwing back that glucose is what cancer survives on.

Maybe it was your comprehension that was struggling.

That post wasn't to you in the first place. Was to tke debating with Big Scrub

We can all use whatever diet we want. What I think is best is obviously not the same as what you think is best. To each their own.

Eat meat man. I ate chicken wings this weekend. They were delicious. I didn't delude myself to think they are healthy.
I don't know about chicken wings, but meat is healthy. Why are we pretending it isn't? The human body has literally zero requirement for ingested carbohydrate. Zero.

I was kind of confused about what you meant. I put the bacon on the cast iron and "fry" it in its own bacon fat!

And you could say the same about meat and dairy.

Not sure what this means. Your body is designed to run on ingested protein and fat. It literally does not need carbohydrates. Your brain is powered on about 4g of glucose per day - an amount which is barely getting out of bed for your liver to synthesize.

Your body only needs 30-50 grams of protein a day. Easily attainable with no meat or dairy.

Not sure why you argue over dairy. Think about, yes other animals eat meat, some eat plants, but humans are the only species that drink milk after infancy. And we drink another animas milk. Why? Because someone said it's important for your bones? That was proven to be bullshite. It's why the milk industry quit the "It does your body good" campaign.

No you don't carbs for physical activity. I do just fine doing anything but long distance running on Keto. And some ultra marathoners do Keto.

You don't need carbs period. For health it's good to cut carbs, for weight loss it's completely unnecessary.

You might only need 40-50g to love but you will be burning muscle as fuel at that level. You sure as hell cant thrive on that amount unless you are a very petite female.
