Get strap safeties. Way more versatile. And as an added benefit if you want to do rack pulls or something like that you won't have metal on metal

I’m went with the flip metal safeties. It’s not really metal on metal as there is a coating or rubber layer. It makes some noise, but doesn’t do damage.

Rogue wall mount rack.
Rep makes great benches.
You can shop deals for plates and dumbbells on FB marketplace if you're patient. I bought all mine at Academy and they're ok.
Don't go cheap on the bench or the bar. I bought a cheap bar at Academy and the knurling is already wearing off. I'm going to have to replace mine soon.

What is the weight rating on those. Let us say I am benching 315 (not yet), will it hold if I cannot finish?

The straps that came with my Bells of Steel rack stated 1000lbs. I don't have that kinda weight so I can't test it lol.

A set of Olympic weights and bar. Curling bar, triceps bar, maybe a dumbbell rack with appropriate weights for your ability.
Bench for doing bench presses---one that can be adjusted to raise the back angle for hitting different muscle groups.
Squat rack would be nice, especially if you will let kids use it since they will try to bite off more than they can chew.
You can always add weights by finding them through Craigslist if you want more and not have to be constantly removing and loading weights on different bars as you do different lifts.

The strap safeties also allow you to set one end at a different height than the other. It's kinda hard to explain unless you've used them but this definitely helps with getting out of failed reps and also helps the setup for accessory lifts like a barbell skullcrusher

I currently have a CAP half rack that I found on Facebook. I'm looking to upgrade and have the room for a full rack.... Currently looking at the bells of steel 3x3 with 5/8" holes. Is there any reason to keep going back and forth between a full of half rack or should I just stop being a pussy and pull the trigger. I would eventually want to add the lat pulldown attachment so I think that eliminates most half racks except for rogue
I guess I know the answer, I'm just a tight arse who hates parting with my coins and need some validation lol

I have a full rack (powertec) and squat stands from Titan. I never use the powertec, it’s not bad but it’s got the worst jcups imaginable. It’s also a weird size that nothing fits. If it wasn’t for the lat tower I would sell it.
Now, I use my titan stands all the time, for bench and squats. I love it. I’ve had a fair amount of weight on them and it’s solid. Also, all rogue accessories fit them.

I have the older 2.3 light commercial rack from Bells of Steel and the pluses are the pull-up bars are really good (there’s a fat grip side and an angle grip and the knurling is good all around) and the roller cups, jcups and safety straps are all really nice. Their 3x3 racks are pretty expensive compared to rep or titan i think though? The light commercial has held up fine, and I have a dip attachment, split squat roller, and Landmine for it so even if you can’t use 3x3 stuff it’s got basically everything I could want and it was cheap.
I also have a plate loaded cable tower from bells of steel that is awesome:

I put a plate peg on the back and store spare 45s on it so I don’t need to bolt it down. For my space it’s a lot better than the lat pulley would be on the back of the rack. You could get a half rack then (the Hydra collegiate does look really nice)

Once you add the safeties, pull up bar, j cups, etc. The rep and bos are about the same. Titan is a bit cheaper but are on backorder for a while.
I'll look again but I think the hydra is a couple hundred more than the light commercial once you add everything

I’m in Canada so for me bells of steel is unbeatable price/performance. If the prices are similar to Rep then I wouldn’t hesitate to go for it; I have BoS mighty plates, powerlifting bar, rack with accessories, cable pulley tower, deadlift pads, and it’s all solid stuff.
