My gym has the Les Mills spin classes. But, when I can't make the scheduled classes, I use the Peloton app and ride the gym cycles. It's pretty good for a warmup, and has some good HIIT rides.

For power zone, they tell you the plan during the warmup for the main set. Once I understand the routine, I’ll just put on an audiobook and turn on peloton subtitles. I do this for power zone endurance. The other power zones have too much intensity for me to listen to books

I just use briefs and gym shorts, no special pants. I do 60-90 minute rides weekly.

I just used some Nike running shorts but I feel like some padding may be necessary if that seat doesn’t break in

Yeah maybe I’ll get used to it, but I just did an hour ride and my arse was pretty sore by the end.

I'm 57 and ride a "real' cannondale mountain bike. I also have a spin bike I ride, it's not a peloton but it's good.

I got mine last April. Closing in on 50 pounds lost doing pretty much just peloton and eating a little less. Try to do it 5-6 days a week, usually 30 minutes. Occasionally do an hour if my wife isn’t home and I got nothing else going on.

I go for Emma Lovewell just about any time she has a 30 minute ride. I hate Olivia Amato because her speed/resistance numbers are unrealistic.

Make sure you are sitting all the way back on the seat with your arse bones sitting on the wide part. Really makes a difference

Get the Sponeed brand padded cycling shorts from Amazon. They’re easily worth $40. I have two pairs and have over 50 rides in each with no sign of wear.

For instructors, I’m a big fan of Matt Wilpers and Denis Morton’s power zone classes. I’ll also do a sweet spot workout with a scenic ride every once in a while too. The girl who does metal rides (Kendall?) is good too

I love the bike. I have had mine about 3 years and about 750 rides total. I would say Alex, Kendall and Olivia are my 3 favorite instructors. Emma is awesome too. Take classes with everyone and you will find favorites. Some days I ride shorter and some longer periods of time. My go to is a stack with 5 minute warmup, 30 minute hip hop or rock, 5 minute cooldown.

Unfortunately, out of the saddle riding just a few days ago and the pedal snapped off. The threaded section stayed lodged in the crank arm. I tried getting it out with a couple of different methods just so I could replace pedals myself, but, with no luck. Finally gave up and contacted Peloton and they will have to replace the crank arm. I have had a lot of trouble with their customer service. After multiple phone calls, emails and forms, I finally had an appointment for them to come fix it, then I get an email this past Saturday saying they have a scheduling conflict, have to re-schedule my appointment and will contact me about re-scheduling. Need to try and get hold of them again today to see what the deal is.

I tried bike shorts and am just not a fan of the padding when I am out of the saddle.

I bought a gel seat pad cover and it helps a lot.

Matt Wilpers, Ben Alldis, Denis Morton, and Alex Toussaint are the instructors I keep going back to. With Alex being the one I like the most out of those.

Just did a ride with Alex and thought I was gonna die. Feel great after though

I’ve heard stories of the pedals breaking. Enough so that I think I’ll try to replace ours every year or two. Cheap insurance.

We’ve had ours since October and it has been awesome. I like stacking rides with arms or core classes. I also really like the interval and arms rides. Usually do Alex or Emma. Sometimes Kendall or Dennis.

Yeah I'm going to order some spd pedals instead. Both of our shoes can accommodate both styles so it will be an easy swap out of cleats and pedals at the same time.

Yea they actually tell you to replace them every year or so. Unfortunately, I never saw or heard that until I started doing research AFTER it snapped off...

We've had ours for almost 2 years and my wife and I both ride ~3 days a week on average. I pick rides based on music so I mostly do EDM or House rides with Ben, Jess, Hannah and Olivia. Ben and Jess are probably my favorite and I only ride with Olivia when I'm ready for an arse kicking. I have a triathlon background and love to ride so I knew I would love it. My wife only had minimal cycling experience and she loves it too.

Had ours since around Thanksgiving and absolutely love it. I originally thought the instructors were going to be lame and had got it out of work schedule conflicts like many others in this thread.

I have really enjoyed taking classes with friends who have one as well. The competition really gets me going and I get a way better workout when doing it.

If you really wanna f yourself up, do a Kendal Toole metal ride, that shite is intense. I also like Jenn Sherman too because she cusses a lot.
